This Is What Makes RWF Raiders Quit World of Warcraft

Galrukh: Splits are ruining the viewing experience for me, it is so boring. So now I only tune in after like 5 days.

CraftBeard: I will never be glad that people get burnt out, but this problem is kinda self inflicted right? Both top guilds wanna leave no room for regret, so they go to these insane lengths so that they have the best chance of winning. Purely as a casual spectator, I think the split runs are super lame and wish there was a heroic week just so I knew I was gonna see some sick prog when I watched the race

kparr90: Bro asked the question and then answered it himself LMAO. Solid insight nonetheless

ski_ba: Bro doing Mythic raids with a coordinated group of 20 nerds is so much fun. There really isn't another experience like it out there

Zewinter: I really hate that they don't do heroic week every tier.

chaoshunting5659: Bring back 10 man raiding.

SKtheBig: Who Cares. We dont Need RWF Raiders. Blizzard should Focus more on the Majority.

FallOut3Guru123: god i hope u all quit so blizz can make the game better

Wolverines9999: Make a world first server. You can only advance on the server in the race. Open it to all the guilds who want to compete in the race. Give everyone the same high-level gear and started at the same time. Just like they do in PVP everybody starts equal in the tournament.

somebodyelse9696: I like heroic week.

bilbert944: Its kinda fuckin stupid but like… if theres only 2 guilds that are actually competing for world first, why dont you two sign a treaty to limit the number of splits you can do?

Neither of you want to do them, and youre both doing it to compete with the other…

s.o.l.o.1.003: Put rwf on tournament realms like awc. Problem solved. Let the teams sign up as awc teams do for access. . . . Idk why they need to be on live servers… On live servers make the raids tuned for everyone else. They waste tens of thousands of development hours on raids only 40-60 ppl can even do. Rwf is making people quit due to how hard mythic is on live servers. Just my 2 cents. And I love the high end raiding . But it’s just too much. Although no addons may change the whole landscape.

thomasanderson2551: In Wrath Classic, I was in one of the top 5 guilds in speedruns and progressions. I will never play WoW PvE again if splits are required.

BURRDAWG_: Reduce splits so seng can farm his mounts.

Max-dv1kq: for me its just: new season? okay lets push 3k and beyond depending on how much fun the season is and how life is going.

I couldnt care less about sitting in queue all day just to get invited to something above 15 on an offmeta (mage)specc with braindead yap fap meta fotm plebs

tek512: The burnout is crazy. My entire crew fell apart. A few of them went casual, but most of them quit. We all enjoyed playing together, and we had skill parity. We even had relatively aligned schedules. The problem? All of us were also pushing M alongside raiding, and it was the M that really did us in.

Shadowlyger: Self-inflicted problem. Stop doing them or stop whining.

AsherrTheRed: cross region xfeffers wood be sick

Grizz030: honestly a lot of what max says makes sense but the primary reason i just watch his stuff a lot is because of the dogs.

-Kailinn-: Truthfully, regular players don't really care about your race. It doesn't hype us up to see people doing something that most people probably won't do. The game should be fun first, and not catering to a small minority of people who don't represent most people.

rafaellisiecki: RWF would be way better when you just race with what you got and no splits. Now it is skill vs gear progression. Imagine Liquid have worse gear then some other unknown guild

destroyer51_: Should wow do like FF14? like 1 race all class? would that make the game more apealing?

ProphetSD13: N O O N E C A R E S

tmadlegionsoul3255: I used to raid on a private server. Most of the bosses had broken mechanics. It was actually more fun to raid those bosses because we had no idea what to expect going into a boss fight. Figuring out the boss and how to most effectively use our raid comp was some of the most fun I have every had in wow.

Vestrene: I think the community of top tier guilds can solve this, but it would be tricky and difficult to agree: They are essentially not realising that RWF is a sport. All sports have rules, set by a governing body, to keep things fair (or at least ideally so). When everyone plays by the same rules then you are a sportsman, and that's the way to do this: Sit down and agree on a set of rules that are easily detectable, e.g. via APIs revealing metadata about characters so they haven't been in splits for example. Blizzard can easily help with this, and now you've turned RWF into a competitive sport, but within the confines of the game that any normal player can relate to much better than endless splits and optimizations. But it would have to change over 20 years of culture via rules, very unlikely to happen. But it's there as a solution for sure.

Alan-ms3kp: The main thing is the FOMO of "Hey, if we get more kind to our players by reducing the standard -- someone is going to be less kind and have a .3 advantage"

Ultimately, we're all human so if you're not getting paid to perform the answer is "be kind" but if you're being paid, the answer gets cloudy and "next man up" becomes a bad consideration.
