Scruffybunns: This happened to me. I've been playing off and on since day 1 the game came out. The day before TBC Prepatch hits I get a 6 month ban. For the next month I sent over 20 tickets and kept getting the same canned response. All I can do is sit back and guess what happened. Over the Christmas holidays I had three weeks off and did a ton of gold farming prep. My thoughts is the bot farmers didn't like me running around badlands killing vultures for cash. I ended up logging into my wife's account and starting over just so I could raid TBC with friends.

I'm in my upper 50's. I have 3 adult children, several friends and an amazing guild to play with. What many might not understand is this is my cozy game I play over and over. It's a great way to talk to my children each and every night. I know more about my buddy's life who is half way across the country then their own mother knows. It's important to me and I go agane.

He tried to contest the ban because he wasnt doing anything botting/gold buying/nothing wrong, but they locked him out of replying to any further tickets. I had to submit a ticket with billing and say he was my BF, they kept closing my tickets too. Next i submitted one saying i had mental disabilties and not to close out my tickets and asked to speak to a real person. They finally unbanned his account and gave him a months time but he lost out on a lot of play time while everyone else was enjoying the patch.

They assured me that the other GM's replies were real people too....but it was literally the same copy paste message with a random created GM name gibberish. I feel like its a ploy to get you to rebuy WoW/expansions/character boosts again....

If they are going to ban fine - but at LEAST have the bare minimum of an explanation and details of what caused it.

They reviewed - and saw XYZ for example. That’s why the ban was upheld.

Just shadow banning and saying sorry pal isn’t fair especially to a 20 year customer.

Nobody complained, nobody stopped paying, hence they kept the change.

MouseOnline: I was banned for 2 weeks for “Toxic Communication” because I typed in a losing AB match. Nothing but automated responses from blizzard. Gave up after about 6 appeals

ogremair803: He should contact California's BBB or a lawyer, I had a somewhat similar situation with CoD, they replied in a couple of days after I submitted to BBB.

hizzousekakashi8836: This entire video just feels like a waste of time, we don't know why he was banned, you're trying to stir up a bunch of anger by ASSUMING the guy did nothing wrong and CLAIMING to be the PERFECT player, but offers zero proof either way, it's not like someone who decides to cheat or bot would just come out and tell us they were doing that.

DingDongDanger: The 2 biggest issues are: 1) Blizzard GM's REFUSE to tell you what you did wrong. I don't know why this is so hard, even when you get arrested the cops tell you why. This is incredibly frustrating because how can you remedy the issue if you genuinely have no clue what you did? Sometimes simple developer software can trigger false positives. 2) It's an automated ban system, all it takes is a handful of people reporting you just to be trolls to trigger the system, and they will rarely if ever actually look into whether the accusations were true. I've seen this happen to people pretty often.

NofaithVaeth777: Blizzard has been tarnishing their rep for years now. I don't think there is anyway to redeem them at this point, but their cultist fan base will still simp for them. Sad.

JibbaJS: I got banned for a couple weeks for “gold buying” in classic when all I did was participate in a GDKP that had a lot of high value items drop and the cut was quite large. Went to log in the next day and couldn’t. Opened a ticket and had the same experience. After a couple days of opening tickets my account finally got unbanned but they never returned the gold that I had earned running that gdkp.

datslifexx: If anyone should get a ban here is Jerome. I would go to this guys PvP events, raids, and it was all just a waste of time. This guy never wins anything on his own without the help of others. Jerome you should be banned for at least 6 months for wasting my time in your events.

JustinSable: I got a perma ban during the Scarab Lord farm in Classic Anniversary for "cheating". They wouldn't specify why, I was mass reported for taking tags on bugs is all I can figure. I appealed the perma ban and they eventually changed it to 6 months. Never even told me what I was banned for, just "cheating". I commented before about it in an old vid and of course I don't expect anyone to believe me, but it it's nuts, I was being honest and doing the farm legit, stayed up late for days in a row with guildies farming. You can get banned out of no where and no one's gonna want to believe you or help, be warned!

Kumiho11: Its ridiculous how they handle these situations. Whether he broke TOS or not, he has the right to know what he apparently did/did not do.

Shameful to handle it this way, but they obviously dont care too much and have lost touch with their community a long time ago.

Bots and boosting communities running wild and then they ban the small guys/honest players.

It's just insane in my opinion.
