Shopping Cartmalkmuslistener5459: some things off the top of my head: "finish" some of the zones that feel incomplete. add stuff to the factions that go nowhere, i.e. Ravenholdt, Wildhammer Clan, Shen'dralar (Dire Maul), continue quest lines that end abruptly, or just blatantly add more quests. Do something with the uncompleted set pieces like Grim Batol, Uldum gate, Hyjal etc. Could do some Caverns of Time stuff where we go back to more events from Warcraft I and Warcraft II, see lands before they were corrupted (Plaguelands, Duskwood) or before they became ruins (Alterac, Lordaeron, Stromgarde), give us the Azshara Crater BG... there's so much incomplete content i'm sure there's quite a bit they could do before actually needing to add anything 'new', just finish what was left in originally.
gurolergunsumer5744: Current Blizzard is incapable of delivering that experience. I swear people have some sort of stockholm syndrome levels of delusion with this IP and company. It's been fumble after another for years.
LuckyPozzo: In my opinion the idea of expansions, at least how we are familiar with them, hurts the concept of a Classic . Having a newly introduced area with higher-level zones draws players out of the world of Azeroth in a way that can make the original world feel barren. If they want more than two continents in Classic , then those landmasses need to exist from the start and be incorporated into the entire leveling experience. When an expansion doesn't add new lands to explore, then what does it add? A Classic would need to redefine what we expect from an expansion if it goes down that route.
kp395: Also, develop more cross-zone or cross-continental quest chains. Those mostly died with TBC.
abrvalg321: There is no conundrum - it's not coming.
NovaLootGamer: I am really hyped for TBC. But Classic would also be nice!
tlittlebo: Really neat video, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. My friends and I enjoyed SoD, so I really hope they continue in that direction with some added raids and zones. The fresh takes on classes and loot was cool, especially in phase 1, 2 and 8. I honestly can't imagine an alternate classic timeline with new expansions, given the small team that worked on SoD. But hey I'll take it.
madsavas: Mate you're back! Hope you feel good and thanks for the upload. Looking forward to the next 25 minutes <3
CRONKTEZ: I like the classic gameplay, but i won’t be playing classic until a permanent classic is made.
I can’t keep up with the seasonal server/edition releases, then have my character wipe etc.
Retail for now
Purriah: If the gear in tier 4 isn’t better than naxx gear then people won’t want to both. Probably just whichever has more specific pieces they want or whichever is faster to clear. IMO The key is to put items like that mage trinket in MC in every raid. Items that keep people running all of them when they’re already doing the last tier
Basically they could release a new raid and just have a bunch of items that fill slots which are hard to fill otherwise.
Or add more class skill books or special enchants like zg has. Some powerful cloak and shoulder enchants would be nice. something like that
I would love to see quests that add summonable optional bosses like Valathak and the brd arena event, and a huge buff to dungeon tier sets. The cost to benefit ratio of those is really awful. Even the rogue set which has a good set bonus requires too many pieces for it to be worth it.
brandondavis6105: It might be tin foil hat territory but I feel like they’re gonna roll out Classic at the end of WOTLK Anniversary. Plus would be built on a modified version of Wrath mechanics and they would just expand the stories of the main continents plus Outland and Northrend. They could then just turn the Anniversary servers into era servers for the first two expansions.
I know that people want it to be built off of Vanilla only but I feel like TBC and Wrath are still part of the classic experience.
pogolas: SoD didn't feel Classic for me.
WoW lore after WotLK, is a major flaw, that prevents me even trying Retail WoW. Especially Sylvanas "treatment".
Perry2186: wow vanilla with Cata class design would be what i want where all the specs would be viable
Tyranidus7: In my opinion, I think an interesting 1.5 Wow plus ideas would be to bring in Outland, Northrend or other newer zones but redesign them as lower level zones and remake quests to possibly take you there. Perhaps Alliance gets a level 20 quest about the lost heroes in Outland and they get teleported there, quest in Hellfire Peninsula as level 20s but make the surrounding Outland zones like level 40 or higher so you get a taste of Outland but then get sent back to Azeroth to gain power before continuing in Outland. Similar things for Northrend. If I was a game designer I would probably say that Classics level cap is now 100, take half of max level zones say Eastern Plaguelands and Silithus, make them 100s, if Outland and Northrend are there make Shadowmoon Valley and Icecrown the hundreds, and then readjust everything down. Blackrock, Winterspring, Netherstorm, and Stormpeaks could be in the 80s, etc. And then make a new but similar narrative and questing chain for this new route. I think that would be very interesting, perhaps too ambitious and out there for the Classic fandom but that would be me.
armoredjoey: they need to start adding in events that change the outcome of the story and world like guild wars 2 does.
dmm119: Make sets that bring offmeta specs online or truly unique options that offer more than raw power.
Few.Be.There.That.Find.It.: Just make hardcore more survival based and add survival type classes. Add more professions and profession quests and more daily quests in general. Slow down the leveling but increase rare loot drops.
thunderzproductions5474: Classic plus is a dream game for me. I hope blizzard makes it great.
Percyripped: Classic plus to me is revamping classes and races. Add ogers hell add hybrid classes like orc/ogre like roktar. Add new specs snd classes or make big revamps of current classes. All while keeping the core world of classic. Thats what classix plus us to me. An entirly alien meta wesved into the classic lore
jgalla5549: new quests, zones, dungeons (low level and max level), raids, and Shadow Priest actually being playable in PVE (fix their mana issues, let DoTs crit, Holy Nova in Shadow Form) is all I want.
ripteye: Minor changes to classes like fixing the hunter dead zone and transition to Melee
gregor2853: Emerald dream would be nice
AKS-74U: I think that Blizz needs to finish Vanilla first. Finish all of the things they left incomplete, like quest lines and empty zones. Then they can move into more substantial stuff that was cut during development, like Azhara Crater BG, then eventually start adding new stuff like new quest lines and zones.
Eventually working towards alternate timeline type stuff.
ripteye: The group finder currently in anniversary is fine, with all the spam in general it's necessary
combativeIlama: good vid
Aleix_kndr: Often I think about the concept of rotation or cycles. Think of it as Rust wipes (but not losing all your progress) or TFT sets and minor meta changing patches.
What about 1 or 2 months cycles (regarding proffesions i,e, where you can only craft, learn to craft and aim to use X items. Maybe fire related, maybe frost related.
Create or modify dungeons and its loot to fit this cycle progression.
Idk im not a developer, but something like that could be explored...
