For me, it's been a steadily accelerating decline except a slight upward tick for both BC and Legion.

Vanilla 9, BC 10, WotLK 9, Cata 7, MoP 4, WoD 3 (8 for the intro cuz WC2 nostalgia), Legion 5 (7 for early DH and some artifact quests, wore off fast), BFA 2, SL -4, WW -??
