crendor: I'm old, Gandalf
TheKajzzeR: Oh I did not forget Machinima.
Nyhm lives rent free in my head
phrog801: What a great watch! Thanks for the mention as well. This definitely brought me back to better times.
Libertum: If You seriously expect me to watch an hour long video about old WoW Machinimas, then Your expectation is absolutely correct.
goraksguide: Thanks for the shout out and kind words Plat!
SaiyanBRZRKR: Crendor videos will always hold a special place in my heart.
KhonoChronos: Thanks for the mention here! Machinima is a very long process... and I try to do it whenever I can. I actually have plans to do more hopefully within the future when I've the time!
PintFrumpyrat: Old wow Machinimas really had so much charm to them, I've really missed that visible personal touch in content nowa days and I find myself gravitating to that vibe whenever I find it in modern creators. You can always identify real passion. Banger vid mr. num
sabor4307: Oxhorn & Nyhm crafted a part of my childhood. Actually Machinimas in general did, thank you for making this and bringing back so much nostalgia.
Sixsten: (omg im in the video)
Okay let me just yap about how much I love machinima-
I started playing the game in Mists of Pandaria when I was about 12ish. This is after the historical 'peak' of WoW, with a lot of the history here being before my time. However, I got to grow up on the 'second generation' of creators, Nixxiom and Krucial (and you of course) being major inspirations for myself.
Watching a /lot/ of YouTube growing up, there was NOTHING like WoW videos on the internet. They were wacky, zany, higher quality than anything else I could find. World of Warcraft wasn't just another game on my computer, it really was a little subculture that I got to be a part of. I want to give a special shoutout to Nixxiom's videos with the Noob and Moocluck, those videos basically supplanted cable shows for me.
And yeah, that's sick as hell
TableKiller: "Cranius - Don't Make Me Get My Main". One of the best
MrGM: This was such an incredible video
LawrenciumPro: Glad to have helped carry the machinima torch, even if it was for a short while o7
Unholyslayer2: "Darrowshire" "The Lament of Captain Placeholder" "Greatfather Winter" and "Big Blue Dress" by Cranius have always been my favorite
Guzutv: I would say Cranius "Big blue Dress" is one of my absolute favorites!
RhamanaChan: Oh man, Illegal Danish is one I still quote - "Come on baby, I've got Blessing of Protection!"
Gorak's Guide is wonderful, I love his videos so much.
odinleader: Tales of the Past was such an epic movie, I still remember it to this day over 20 years later. I still remember being so hyped when the final battle took place with the ashbringer vs lich king. So insane!
MrSh4des: "MC raiders" and "youve got to play wow" stood the test of time imo. No cringe at all just pure nostalgia and musical genius.
Legendary231: Captain Grim is like the perfect combination of Gmod and WoW Machinima.
Adventures-vy9jz: Omg a 52 min platinum wow video about machinima!? Praise be to platinum wow! Praise!
jjgoldsberry: The nostalgia for those videos really hit from this. Thank you for not posting an April Fool's video on April 1st!
TheLostCodex: This was so cool to watch! Man, it's been a long, strange trip so far hasn't it?
Thanks a lot for the shoutout too! We don't release videos half as often as we'd like to, but we're not about to let our brand of WoW machinima die until the fat dwarf sings ;)
As for other favourites... I'd have to nominate the works of BaronSoosdon and Olibith (R.I.P). Those two were absolutely amazing in the EU WoW machinima scene back in the day. Highly worth a watch!
sharmsong: Oh my goodness, this video actually made me pretty emotional. Can't believe how one videogame left such a massive impression and ultimately shaped so many of our lives. Never thought I'd still be singing about WoW all these years on, but I just can't let go of the beautiful community that this game spawned. I just want those good times to live on
Lellianna: Okay that PVPGurl fact caught me off guard
Shockees: Flying Buttress's channel is severely underrated...his retelling of the Blizz lore books has always been top notch entertainment. I've learned more lore from his videos then in all of the years playing WoW
AdrianDrott: What an honour to be a part of this important piece of documented history. Thank you for featuring my video! I sometimes forget about my past life creating machinima but this really brought me back to "the good old days". We were such a tight knit community too! I love the mention of WeGame for an example, which was so community driven and what really brought me confidence in creating. Great job on documenting all this on such a detailed level! As for my favourite machinima of all time it really has to be Illegal Danish, it has everything! But I really loved the Never Stay Tuned series by Olibith too.
Kakio: I can't believe that Blood Elf Raps are getting a mention in big 2025, that's an absolute W
Amazing video man, there is a reverence for especially the very early machinima era, it's just something magical that a video like this helps us all to memorize and cherish!
