The Best Forgotten Villain of Classic World of Warcraft

hydromancer4916: Guess what? In wrath, there's a book in Dalaran called "Losses of the Third War" that talks about Thule, Bethor, and none other than Gunther Arcanus!

I think the implication there is that Gunther was the third friend who made the wand with them.

oluftheexplorer9476: I'll never get why Horde players skip the Forsaken zones to go to the Barrens.... the Barrens is one of the most boring zones in all of classic because the problem with Horde is.... every zone is just a different shade of orange, but ultimately looks exactly the same.

inexes7687: When I first played Classic WoW, I made sure to complete every single quest in every zone I set foot in. The Undead starting zones are still my favorites to this day!

KingIvanGil: Classic wow had almost dark souls type lore, like there was mystery in the world

TheCeekon: fun fact:

Thule is (probably) canonically still alive, at least as of the time of Cata as he was kicked out of fenris and was demoted to being a rare spawn in silverpine

Curryed1: This is by far my favorite questline in all of Classic WoW, I played an Undead Warrior on an RP server when COVID lockdown started, I chose an undead because you always said the undead zones were the best, boy were you right! Thanks for the recommendation that led to so many great memories!

Elbruhman6456: Nixxiom I am STARVING for Night Elf content

serena3841: What is blowing MY mind...is I have always heard Ichor as pronounced "Ick-er" and now hearing "eye-core" I am just shook.

SoulGizmo: This is why i make sure to do every quest in the zone before leaving it. This questline was nice and you get to fight a pretty interesting enemy before diving into sfk. Maybe tarren mill is up next?

angussharington2374: I really enjoy these videos, the voice over stuff is great too. And the music.

Waifudreamin: Ah man miss WoW but I quit playing before the dragon aisle expansion because being a solo player stopped being fun… 16 years of playing this game to

Astronic: This is why I always read quests in wow. I dont really like end game. I prefer leveling and just doing quests lol.

gj3717: Its the Dead Fields, not Dread Fields. And I cant believe you left out the Raven claw apiritions and its speeches!

"Ravenclaw Apparitions are wraiths that enter the Dead Field from time to time and encourage the gnolls to attack the forsaken. They are sent by Thule Ravenclaw.

Quotes

My minions...

The time for conquest approaches quickly.

The rebels of Lordaeron are small, and weak, and know not the joy of serving our Lich King.

Make ready for battle, my creations.

We will drive our foes from Silverpine, then bring the very tides of war to their very capital!

Death, and praise the Lich King!

A few or just one Gnoll will cheer

My minions..

Soon your thirst for destruction will be quenched.

The rebels of Lordaeron are small, and weak, and know not the joy of serving our Lich King.

Prepare yourselves, for we will soon launch an assault agianst they who called themselves "The Forsaken."

The dark lady’s followers are blind to think they can stand against our might.

These undead rabble, and their dead-elf queen, will fall!

Death, and praise the Lich King!

A few or just one Gnoll will cheer

horgian6496: The third friend in question was Gunter Arcanus, an independant undead (said to be a lich) involved in a Tirisfal quest where you need to recruit him for the Forsaken. The trio of friends and the fact that Ravenclaw is alive and now serving the Scourge is mentioned then as far as I know, but not yet his involvment in Silverpine.

Furthermore, Thule appears again in cataclysm, alive and well, but now homeless, appearing as a rare elite alongside two of his skeletons bodyguards. Upon being attacked, he claims to have been cast out of Fenris Isle by the worgens who inhabit it during cataclysm.

Shadeborne: Now I'm curious what the worst forgotten villain in World of Warcraft is.

apblolol: as a horde player and avid silverpine enjoyer, i thank you for bringing light to the little things that make this game great.

diewowlatenight4047: Although I'm an alliance player, I've slowly shifted towards Horde, especially Forsaken/Undead and I learned to love the lore and the overall buildup.

Glad to see that you do more content on that :3

mattdafel1589: As a long time horde player I always loved this questline. That’s why I always swapped what’s zones I leveled in so I could see more obscure quest and npcs. Great video love the highlight Silverpine is getting.

Karavolos: To save you guys the clickbait, the villain the title refers to is Thule Ravenclaw.

If you wanna hear their reasonings for it, watch away.

maddict1045: Oh man its gonna be a good day, also super cool to see Zygor as a sponsor, its refreshing to see ad's that fit the channel content.

ArggoNavis48: i m so happy you rly rly rly come back mate. Wellcome back

immigrant194: The story telling is what got me into WoW

DeepBlackEmerald: I always liked the tauren-themed quests where you take the wind serpent egg to Magatha Grimtotem, and kill the wind serpent Arikara. You learn that Arikara is born to seek vengeance against those who have committed heinous acts, and she says she thinks it is stalking Cairne because of too much tauren lore changing too soon. I always was very curious about this quest, since Magatha has wind serpents for her messengers (as shown in a quest where she sends one to the Forsaken in Thunder Bluff). I like to think that this was one of her plots against Cairne and she's trying to save face. It seems in non-classic content Arikara becomes relevant again, but this is one of those classic WoW things that always fascinated me.

johnpepper8508: For me this type of story is definitely the legend of Stalvan. You have to go to different places connected to him, gather information by reading his diary, and at first it seems like he's a nice guy, later on it becomes really creepy.

Squally79: This is really cool! I've always played alliance (I know, I know), but I really wanna create a forsaken and go thru their whole storyline now. This video kind of ignited a new flame, as I was kind of getting tired of the same stuff I've been doing lately. Thanks for this video!
