The Best Forgotten Story of Classic World of Warcraft

souptime1909: The old writers really got it, low-fantasy stakes like trade routes and bottlenecks, house rivalries and long-held grudges, the kind of things that make a high-fantasy world far more real than "the god of whatever wants to harness the world's super-energy to unleash the nameless one." Incredible that a bridge can be made more compelling than years of supervillains and magical soap operas with just a little writing talent and nuance

Lissuin: As a follower since 2015-2016 era; my favorite videos were always the ones that focused on the WORLD of Warcraft. The stories, the locations, the atmosphere, the music... For someone like me, who played the game and followed you for 9-10 years for these, this video series is just perfection. Thank you Nixxiom)

frantictoast3741: Dude, just become a wow lore channel at this point. I've watched every single one of your videos multiple times, and these are your bread and butter. You got the voice for it, the charisma, editing, and visuals to become a great lore channel.

sirgamer44: Absolute chad of a writer making the most heart pulling letter that almost no one ever found or cared to look for at the bottom of a river until classic WoW when there's perfectly calculated guides now.

murppy: Absolutely loving these quest line videos

MangoLeaf9103: This actually made me tear up. As a veteran, It warms my heart now knowing that WoW still blows my mind for emulating a real life story for this one missable quest

Love your videos. Keep it up!

mordecaifox7799: I remember finding this quest back in 2005 if I remember right. The way I found it? I put my character on auto run and minimized my window to change the music that was playing. When I returned to the window...I was underwater, swimming downward as when I moved to switch windows I must have angled my camera down. And, my autorun made me run right into that big crack on the side of the bridge and fell through. To my surprise...I saw the body and the envelope. It's funny that if that had not happened...I would have had no idea that was even there.

I would like to think that the creator of the quest kind of hoped something like that would happen. Someone just jumps off the bridge or accidently steps off...and ends up on a new quest by accident.

sennaka: They revamped the actual Sullivan Ballou letter for a Warcraft universe? oh my gosh.

Ellthom: I am loving this series. And the best thing is this has legs to have mnay videos too.

UrsaForce: Not sure why WoW has lost many of these type of quests, they have many more ways of showing interactions now but they keep them to a mínimum

pazsimp: I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! It's so nostalgic and captivating! Please continue to upload more of this!!!!

Squally79: Aw man... was not expecting to be crying during my lunch break... thank you for telling this story. It was heartbreakingly beautiful.

capatej: I like the Ironforge Memorial Ring having together with Seal lf Wrynn. It´s such a lore cool combo to wear on low lvl. I always keep them in bank after find upgrade.

ryanadkins4840: Beautiful story with heart wrenching real life connections. I’m absolutely Loving this recent series. I hope there are many more to come

HallowedBeThyGame: Crying watching a Nixxiom video wasn't on my bingo card. Amazing video, ty for this.

angussharington2374: I love the lore and the voice acting so much, thanks for making these videos.

LoopyOrchestra: ... and then the dark iron dwarves joined the alliance

awesomeace86: Absolutely awesome!! It makes me want to classic level a dwarf , also big thank you both the voice actors top tier performers like you always provide! Cant wait for the next one

FridayFables: As someone thats done all Alliance quests, ever, this is one that is a guaranteed pick-up. Story aside, its good EXP to route it in with questing in Hillsbrad/Arathi.

While I don't know much about the storytelling, there are a number of well-hidden quests in Alterac Mountains involving the Syndicate, one of which I believe is still an unsolved mystery involving how a rare event actually spawns.

Every so often in Southshore, Syndicate Assassins will show up. If you can manage to kill one before a guard does too much damage to make the loot unavailable, you can pick up a quest which starts off a small quest chain, bringing you to kill Baron Vardus in the northern range of Alterac Mountains.

The quest is so obscure, that nobodys really ever figured out how

JohnMurphy-m4l: That letter had no business going that freaking hard, that was a legit poem so beautiful

Joshboyes1: The classic wow player base really sells itself short skipping over the stories of these quests. I’m going to start a lvl 1 dwarf today and read every thing with no rush to 60.

stephenbonaduce7852: When I first started playing WoW, it was during my Christmas vacation in 2005, and as luck would have it, I was in Dun Morough, crunching through the snow as it snowed outside my window. I'll never forget it, nor my feelings about that zone as I marveled at its beauty. Your video brought all that back to me; I thank you.

Incidentally, you're a terrific reader, which I really appreciate. Too many channels these days have voice-overs done by AI, and I really can't stand it. Also, your wife did a FANTASTIC job on her voice-acting; please let her know she has a fan out here near the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

gerhard7988: Wow, great video as always, but the surprise at the end that the quest was based on actual history was fantastic. Love these lore videos.

DrPluton: I love that quest chain. I don't count it as foolish to jump off the Thandol Span because you have to if you want to do the quest to deliver ale to Southshore. The quest giver is only reachable by leaping across.

bagendamunk: Keep doing these
