Now after all those years, when Blizz has to make up even greater threats just to keep this game running, often butchering their own lore (I'm looking at you both Zovaal and Denathrius), I think he might be right.

And btw, Xal really feels like Zovaal 2.0 with her "master Plan", "destroying everything you love" and so on.

He started hearing the corrupting voice of the Old Gods over 10k years ago. Killed a bunch of his kin, and then fled to Deepholm to lick his wounds when his power was literally making him burst at the seems.

He waited, all the while hearing those voices, until he went full psychosis.

If we're judging solely on vibes, sure. He looks cool, he has a booming voice and the way he wakes up was super cool back then.

But narratively speaking? Ragnaros didn't even know who we were until he was awakened by Majordomo. He was the WoW equivalent of a dragon sleeping in his cave with his hoard.

Putting Xal'atath on the same level as the Jailer is criminal. Nixxiom doesn't even fully understands the current Lore. When he talks about it, he makes lots of mistakes.

Say what you want, but Xal looks cool, she has a cool voice, she is great at manipulating people, she clearly has some motivations (even though we don't know all of it just yet).

The mere fact that Nixxiom thinks he understands her motivations because ONE NPC stated what he thinks they are proves my point.
