ChrisTehKiller169: Garrosh Hellscream was not a bad guy and thrall didnt choose poorly, if you play through cataclysm as horde garrosh is shown as very wise and actually actively stops a genocide or two.

the prevailing theory is that Garrosh was infected by the Sha of Pride and corrupted by the old god Y'shaarj.

basically in WoW if anything ever goes wrong the answer is Old God corruption

Abraxxas.: The lich king was really defeated by Tirion Fordring because he held the ashbringer, a holy sword that was forged during the first parts of the scourge invasions by its orginal owner Alexandros Mograine. Its turns the undead to dust just by coming into contact with them, after the raid, the lich king reveals he was holding back and showed his true strength by attempting to turn all the strongest heros into the dead, Tirion was able to blind side the lich king and used ashbringer to shatter frostmourne, the heros survive and take out the lich king. You should look into Ashbringer its lore is really good.
