SoapSoapCrayon: Been running in to kickbots in PVP since late legion. It's kind of funny as an OCE player because if you queue up against an American kickbotter you can bait their kicks and for the low price of cancelling a spell very quickly, and then as long as you track the cd you never have to worry about getting kicked ever.

lecheric: I have experience with this! I was raiding in a top 20 US guild in Aberrus, and we had two players join based off of recommendations. They posted out of raid testing as they joined, and our GM thought it was weird but let it slide. Once the raid started properly, we noticed that their first trial week they fell flat and were awful. After they got an officer meeting, their gameplay went from green parses to nearly perfect. Never got a confirmation, but when I watched their replays it was pixel perfect every time. I know they had some kind of script or something

Deek-Za: Good players absolutely do cheat. It's been shown that better players actually are more inclined to cheat since they've put so much effort into getting good and know they could be the best but choose to cheat because they feel they've earned their rightful place at the top already for all that effort.

You wont hear about it as much in WoW because players aren't scrutinized as much as highly competitive games. Not to mention in like CS and say speed running, where you hear of it more, you generally have direct access to a specific player's gameplay PoV which helps immensely at identifying.

XtemeStromer: idk if max reads theses but back in the wod i used them in pvp on a few alt classes because it made them op and was super easy to get( knew the people who made them) and they told me there was many players in the top 50 guilds in the world using his cheats and dmg rotations.

cassp5628: The thing with wow, is it's technically "skillcapped" game. Like there is an realistically achieveably or close to perfect rotation. So as a really good player, the idea of needing to cheat is just kind of dumb. It also makes sense why it's more prevelant in pvp, because the skillceiling is higher.

Unlike games like FPS where the ceiling is practically impossible for a human, only achieveable by cheats.

I could easily got download autohotkey and have put hekili, or the single button rotation, somewhere on screen and use pixel color from these rotation pictures to put in scripts to then run with autohotkey. This would work really well for a class such a ret paly but why? Yes you would do high dps but how much fun would it be to just spam one button. This just seems completely pointless and boring to go these routes. I'm sure there are people who use them but can't imagine anyone in a top raiding guild to enjoy the game at that level and do something to make the game boring as can be.

Morgan-j2p-m9y: I used to know some people that used them, a group of friends of a friend, that used a rotation bot and they bragged about it so much in the vc we were in and even showed it off. They had decent rotations, but they were awful for positioning and game knowledge and while playing m they would constantly die anyway because they refused to actually learn mechanics, never used defensives, would pull extra mobs every single dungeon pull, it was realllllly bad. I played with them I think twice and never ever ever again, both because of how miserable playing with them was and because it just felt uncomfortable to play with people that I knew were cheating.

CheeseyDan: Trackmania (a racing game from France) had an example of a cheater at the high end. Riolu was a player that got exposed for using a slow-mo cheat engine to set high-end records. He was an excellent player and streamed on the regular, but while offline, would use the slow-mo to perfect his movements to get crazy records that were nearly unbeatable. If you're interested in seeing more about it, go look up Wirtual. He did a documentary about it.

Prophias: There's various players in the Pro scene in CS that got caught cheating, matchfixing scandals, aimbots... Forsaken from India, a whole team from china, russian scene is cooked from the bottom to the top, KQLY was a big one, S1mple was caught cheating in CSGO before he got his pro card, most recently Nocries went from cheating, to being invited to FaceIt HQ, and then dropping off harder than a mosquito in a gaschamber.

The whole pro thing is cooked all the way through, lump of hot coal if you ask me.

iPanicyt: Funny, because in PVP cheating is kind of big. Wintrading, boosts, pilots, rotation bots, kick bots, cheaty macros, addons to queue snipe, exploits and clever use of game mechanics until blizz fixes it, and I could go on

Yaboyzerve: Cheating scripts in pvp like kickbots or rotation bots definitely exist, but aren't anywhere as common as wintrading/piloting types of cheating are, especially at higher ratings.

Also, Max, you literally had a raider in your guild get banned in the most recent RWF for account sharing... That's called "piloting" in pvp land and is some of the most egregious and damaging cheating on the ladder.
