Jaisdk: Just wanna add, you say you don't do addons BUT, as a lore nerd, you might want to install the one called Lorekeeper. When you read a book, it adds it your ingame collection, so you can read it anywhere in the world. So for instance, when running SM, you just click the book, and you can read it later.

You were blessed running into this guy - back in the day this would've been completely impossible as most servers didn't even have a guild that managed to clear the raid his gear is from before TBC released.

kristoferkravis1474: Hey Gbay for some PVP you can duel players as you see them passing by. Duels are a nice way to try out PVP without the consequences of death.

Just simply target another player and type /duel or you can right click their portrait the same as inviting or inspecting them.

BlackwingDrake: Chillwind Camp, the place in Western Plaguelands you got the flight path in, is the base you build in WarCraft 3, in the mission you kill Kel'Thuzad.

Oeslian: The plague story is one of the coolest in the game, but it's a horde only story. You should really level a horde character after you finish leveling your warrior. Many cool horde only storylines, Undead have really interesting storylines.

LadyDoomsinger: 34:00 The interesting thing about the books you can read in WoW is that they aren't actually "retcons" per se - they're just written by biased authors, like real books. They'll generally stick to the broad strokes of how events unfolded, but you'll notice that depending on who the author is supposed to be, they'll have a friendly slant towards their own faction or idolize certain heroes of their faction... Or they may paint enemy factions in a negative light. Which only makes them feel more real, even if it makes it a bit harder to keep track of the "actual" lore.

It's only when Activision/Blizzard actually have characters break the lore that it becomes an issue. Think a lot of people (and game designers) struggle to tell the difference between "lore" and a "character's account of events". It's a common problem both in fandoms and in long-running established IPs these days, it seems.
