chrisliftstv: Anyone who "can't find a guild" is shopping in the wrong department. MOST guilds will take just about anyone. Skill is often a more sought after characteristic than role/ spec. The only ones who have restrictions are the parse lords and speedrunners.

MikeyBradshaw28: You can’t really class stack in MoP without getting hard punished. MoP bosses were designed to actually use all of the diverse class utility and damage profiles MoP offers.

On the same point, the heroic bosses aren’t really that overtuned and difficult given we have 5.4 classes.

MoP had some really unique class playstyles that only existed for a couple patched in MoP. The 5.3 Unholy DK Festerblight build used the Feather of Ji-Kun to build up massive strength stacks, snapshot diseases with a CD and extend duration with festering strike until the boss dies.

naejimba: There isn't a huge problem to solve except with the community. Everyone is trying so hard to min max all the fun out of the game, and GDKPs are trying so hard to remove the last bit of social interaction the older versions of WoW have... seriously I did one and not a single person talked except the raid leader giving calls and everyone just left immediately after. Like they are showing up for a job. I've done private servers for years and years before Classic and this game is what you make of it.

ClarixTV: I think with the changes they’re doing it shows that they are moving in the right direction. Not to mention the celestial dungeons with have BOA fragments that will allow you to gear up alts easier. If they keep it up it’s going to be a great time for everyone!

Everywhere you look—Discords, forums, group chats—it’s just wave after wave of complaints about how “unfair” the nerfs are. As someone who has healed on multiple specs including both Priest and RSham over the last two expansions, I genuinely don’t understand this reaction. MoP Classic hasn’t even launched yet, and yet people are already up in arms over any adjustment that threatens their expectation of dominance.

It’s not like the nerfs came out of nowhere. Anyone familiar with MoP’s state knows that these two specs were insanely dominant—topping healing meters, bringing incredible cooldown utility, and even leading in damage contribution. In a game where healer choice is supposed to be about playstyle, team needs, and utility, we’ve been stuck in a meta where raid leaders feel pressured to just stack Disc and RSham because they’re objectively better at almost everything. That’s not healthy for the game, and it’s certainly not fun for anyone who enjoys playing other healing specs.

What frustrates me is that the loudest voices seem to want it all—best throughput, best damage, best cooldowns, best absorbs—while still expecting to be untouched by tuning. It’s like they can’t imagine a world where other specs are allowed to perform well. Heaven forbid someone brings a Holy Priest or MW Monk to raid and it’s not seen as griefing.

Every healing spec should bring something unique to the table. Some lean into reactive healing, some into proactive, some bring strong utility, others great throughput. That diversity is what makes raid healing interesting and gives players the freedom to play what they enjoy—not just what’s mathematically broken. And no, you can’t just buff the underperforming specs up to Disc and RSham levels. That would make healing so overpowered across the board that it would trivialize fights and remove any sense of challenge or pacing in encounters.

The nerfs were absolutely the right move. They don’t make Disc and RSham bad—they’re still strong. But now there’s some breathing room for other specs to feel relevant without needing to rely on niche gimmicks or perfect group coordination to keep up. And I really hope Blizzard doesn’t cave and start reverting these changes just because some players are upset that their favorite spec might not be a guaranteed top pick anymore.

What’s exciting now is that we might get an actual variety of viable choices instead of just one or two dominating every comp. That’s what real balance should look like—not every spec being the same, but every spec having a reason to be played. Let’s give that room to grow instead of trying to squash it the moment things get shaken up.

no one is gonna be stacking any class, it’s very clear you did not play MoP originally. it’s thEE most forgiving xpac when it comes to composition, & you’re incentivized to bring a colorful roster. it’s an xpac of mastering mechanics, mechanics that any class can do. pack up the hunter fanaticism frfr.
