CrittyKat: They will never kill retail and do a WoW 2. That would be commercial suicide. They will fully revamp the game, one xpack at a time. WoW 2 really started in Dragonflight, it was a reset. That's why they push you into DF content as soon as you make a toon and hit 10.

orzhovmdw: Honestly, "WOW 2" will happen after the Last Titan! My theory is that itll be a reset. Azeroth will be extracted from the world, and it'll just be a normal planet! I can see like an Apocalypse type thing happening and it causing the "islands" to "disappear". Think like 2 differnet Azeroth maps like when you wanna click over to Outlands or Shadowlands. "WOW2" will be more adventure focused and no threats just adventure and exploring. Raids could just be normal creatures and criminal type mobs. Maybe a complete revamp of the map like combining Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdor into one continent. Next expansion theory will be WoW: Apocalypse will more focus on adventure and not a "hero" just an adventurer! I want like a time jump like 1k years or something to happen and maybe our "hero" was thrown into a worm hole or something and we see the new Azeroth without a titan in it!

shawn1860: One thing about player housing I haven’t heard much about is the potential beyond housing. Imagine player created content like scavenger hunts, casinos, puzzle rooms, art displays, roleplay events, mini games… the possibilities are endless. From what I’ve seen, player housing is less “cozy” and more “developer tools lite”. And housing could just be the beginning. Imagine player built dungeons… pvp battlegrounds… etc

Blizzard would be crazy to blow up their biggest IP by trying to replace it. Whatever "WoW 2" will be needs to live in the same game/universe as current WoW, and not as a separate game.

WoW 2 should be a complete universal HD texture update with new zones and a completely new story arc that doesn't center around the burning legion, sargeras, arthas, the void, or any of the other tropes we've seen in the past.

Unrelated, but I would love to see a World of Starcraft as a separate IP.

R0NO1: Can’t wait for them to slightly simplify/make the game mechanics more readable at the cost of removing addons so i can just log on and have some casual fun pve/pvp without always having to rely on updated addons to optimise gameplay to stay competitive.

New professions (i want to see wood crafts /woodsman) new class , new features ect ! But a new game , less but ever a cartoon like (but LESS !) and new itemisation system based on CRAFTS ! Loots can ever generating stuff but not the principal itemisation system , 80% of stuff on our characters from CRAFTS with new professions, more rich, more interdependent of other professions to make stuff ! like the craft system to make stuff (black-smith) need alchimy, jewelry, some leather ect to been crafted (itemisation on 80% by CRAFTS !)

Even epic stuff need to been crafted , with recipe (recipe looted for me is good system for craft for end game itemisation but not only that)
