Shopping Cartszilardtiti5766: Could you please make this a regular thing? Housing creation reviews? I think there will be plenty of screenshots to choose from
CottageWizard: It's amazing seeing people come up with all these ideas! So many people will have so much fun with player housing. It's like working on a puzzle project where you constantly explore which pieces fit together for whatever it is you wish to accomplish!
PatrickHenryWoW: This will change the way people know wow. There will be pre-housing wow and Wow 2.
Johnny_Thrash: "why would you have a cloth like that?" Looks at the rug on the wall and ::Cries Eastern European tears:: haha Tons of great builds here thanks for showcasing these to help us see what is possible so we can get the creative juices flowing.
vhaelen326: my main is a paladin in a warhammer 40k transmog, my entire warband with my main in it is 40k themed... im gonna build a 40k house no matter what its going to cost me
alycynde5237: I love that deer looking in the window!! Pretty awesome!
BigMammaKG42: Wish you could show us this without being so negative about clipping and gaps.
chiiri_h: Due to that a lot of the functionality is the same as other games like The Sims, I highly suggest people looking to do impressive builds in WoW's housing look at the tricks those players use! Clipping objects together, scaling, and illusions using fake walls and platforms. I expect we're going to see a lot of use with those hidden bookcase doors, using beams and tables for custom stairs, and hidden lights.
A trick I found was sinking candles into objects for better lighting, and some do have actual game functionality like the Zandali Griddle, which you can use to cook. Also looks great sunken into a counter or platform to make a stove!
Orikmen: Aww man, I didn't notice the clipping! Cool to see my screenshot in the video! Thank you for that!
DragonflyenAmber: The sink in that bathroom is from Suramar and that's how it comes. You buy it at the little campsite at the edge of Valsharah. I put one in my kitchen. The pattern on that wall is part of the designs you can put in your home. There are several light and dark options to make your walls, floors and doors look how you like.
Every faction has vendors, ever class hall as well. Profs also have patterns from every expack that I could get to, half the portals were missing in SW . On the PTR you were limited as to how many objects you could place outdoors (200) and indoors(300) with items having different amount values ranging from 1-5 slots. Not sure if they will change that on live but that's how it was on the weekend.
It was a total blast playing around with everything they have so far.
laurakane2252: You have no idea the kind of things people coming from FF can and will build.
I can see a lot of things going on here that have been staples in FF housing.
A lot of us wow players who have played FF are coming back to wow because of the housing.
FF is good game but nothing like wow. All it needed was housing to keep more people playing and now we have it.
I think this is going to be great for wow. They have the regular gaming side of the game that's better and now it looks like they've blown their housing side out of the water too.
Manicca: Aww, people stole my deer-in-bush thing already. Well, glad to see it was liked :)
jony6092: There's really no need to nitpick on stuff like "there's a slight gap here" or "his leaves are too big"... felt unnecessary.
AndrikatsGames: aaah can't wait for player housing
kyndread71: My Draenei paladin will create a church, so I can start giving a short prayer service/sermon on Sundays.
Dryzual: Your big gun (giggity) is awesome breezy, dont underrate yourself. Housing is looking like a big W allround.
gfrancescolt: I just wish Decor cost and budget are taken a second look at because as it stands right now, taking into account future budget, it might not be enough to create these wonderful decorations. I did some basic indoor garden and that blew all my budget.
Cameroo: Man. These are amazing. People going nuts with the tools here. Doing things I was not expecting. Kramer would be happy with all the levels going on! I hope they add indoor lighting settings. Setting a room to be a certain level of darkness would be really cool. Get that very creepy vibe going for us weirdos who never stop celebrating Hallow's End. Speaking of which, I'd like to see the ability to save blueprints or designs like their transmog system. maybe something you can share with other people or just have a house plot you made you can plop down for the events or holidays you want to vibe on. Would be neat if you could queue them up automatically for seasons. Like when Wintersvale hits, my outdoor plot would switch to the appropriate festive decor and lights I laid out for it. Etc. Just would be a PITA to do it manually every holiday you get the itch to do so. ;D
GooseComics: This proves that I can totally make a Mako Ractor. I am so flipping thrilled!
Volkfire: I'm really jealous that people were able to do up their plots. I wasnt able to because it was so bugged. (Horde)
ScottKnowlesKnight: For bookshelves...it would be nice to be able to put books we get from all over, have say them copied by scribes so we can put them in empty shelves and when we mouse over, the title appears and we can take it out and read it. You could sit down with it and read as well. Also maps, and even small trinkets could be put on the shelves. The trinkets could be real items, like a jade statuette.
Weapon racks could be used to hold crafted weapons to display, removable to be able to say show you wielding them.
Soulbinding would keep them in them and say books, in the house.
Jacques13able: this scares me, ill never be able to do that, and i tried on the PTR :P
