Shopping CartNerdySatyr: God the "public" world transport in WoW is so underrated. Having to wait for, then boarding a timed boat or blimp with lots of other players, then just standing on it as it travels, watching all the scenery go by, it's SUCH a vibe!
vladbadiu: You mentioned not seeing old characters from Warcraft 3 right before going to Theramore, you didn't explore the city further and I was screaming at my screen T_T
Eclipsedjedi: A really cool detail that seemingly was missed: Hawthourne revived you as a Hunter.. Which means he had engineering(confirmed by his goggles) and used Goblin Jumper Cables to revive, which have like a 33% chance of even working.
Azurios: All the statues in the Valley of Heroes in Stormwind represent characters from Warcraft 2. At the end of the game, they defeat the Horde and close the Dark Portal. However, in doing so, they become stranded in the Orcs' home world, and people believe they have died. This is one of the themes of WoW's first expansion, "The Burning Crusade."
And the re-release of WC2 the expansion is still a good game. In case you need an RTS again sometime.
TheT0N1c: Gbay saying let's quickly do the missing diplomat is the same vibe as madseason saying let's quickly do monkey madness
Diettoxin: legendary youtube pull for thursday morning
matteospeedwagon8139: We’re back to the greatest adventure ever told. This playthrough got me to stop and smell the roses again in Wow
tayronpsy: 6:43 That's because Stormwind is more of a Warcraft 1 and 2 lore location rather than W3
Whitewingdevil: Time for the popcorn lads!
VinnieSP: Gbay, my man... You know you'll have to do it all over on the horde side right? We horde players demand it (and you're in for a treat lore wise).
orik48: this man is going to LOVE the plaguelands
Scriptingk: Please do gawk at the landscapes and tell us, we're here to experience it all with you.
The zones/landscapes/environment art has been one of the most praised and loved aspects of WoW.
This series is an instant click when it pops up!
friarsthehobbit: Ironically, the human lore follow up from Warcraft 3 you are looking for comes more from the Undead zones than the human ones--at least at the start.
Whitewingdevil: The class quests really were goated back in the day, I wish they had leaned into them harder instead of getting rid of (most) them, even if I do understand the logic of not spending time developing quests that only a fraction of the playerbase will ever experience... they were just really cool and made that specific character feel different to your other characters, you went through a different experience with them.
Notdyinginthewoods: Dude. We have been on a spiritual journey together. You got me into retail with your first video. Then we got to share in the shame of playing retail and getting laughed at. I stayed determined, finished leveling my retail character to 80 and before getting midnight thought: “I’ll check on that funny YouTube guy that was learning wow” to find that you had posted 3-4 additional videos on wow. You then got me into classic. I just started my night elf Druid and stayed up too late last night playing with some kind folks I met. Then I wake up this morning to THIS.
beardednose: I recommend you play Warcraft 1 and 2, or at least look at the lore.
Many of the places you are seeing are in or relate to events in the earlier Warcraft games. It will give you a bigger picture of the lore of the game and understand why things are the way they are.
Without giving too much away, Alterac is a particularly important example, Stormwind, Blackrock Orcs, dragons, ogres, plenty of other important details.
Nerd704: Jawlz would have been spared anyway. The Barrens is a horde zone so on PvP servers only Alliance players are targetable unless you directly attack another player. This is to keep you from ganking really low level characters. Same would be true for Westfall and Elwynn for the Alliance only Horde players become PvP "flagged". Basically even on PvP servers you're mostly safe until after level 20.
alexanderrahl7034: 13:30
That large "castle" is the city of Stromgarde, and the site of the original human kingdom of Strom. The first great human kingdom. Which was destroyed in Warcraft 2, when the horde sailed north against Lordearon.
As for the syndicate "do these guys have some backstory i dont know about?"
...
unfoldingspace8: Dunholde Keep. The place Thrall was raised by humans, as he mentions in to Cairn in the last Orc Campaign mission in Reign of Chaos.
Fun fact it was just recently destroyed at the start of Reign of Chaos, and all of the events of that and Thrall’s story can actually be read in the book Lord of the Clans, which I HIGHLY recommend, it’s such a good a read!
Also just absolutely LOVING these videos, I haven’t played WoW in well over a decade and a half. I stopped after Wrath of the Lich King. I tried a little bit when Cataclysm came out, but hated the complete change to everything. I don’t think I ever even reached level 60 myself.
phygarage: Oh man, there's a line in star trek TNG, where Picard is so jealous of Wesley going through the academy as a student. Watching you explore classic like this is beautiful. Play this game if you haven't folks.
misplaymay: Hell yeah another wow classic Gbay99 video. Buckle up, this is one of the best youtube series of the last 5 years <3
thequestbro: Bro you REALLY need to roll an undead character. You want a whole follow up to Warcraft 3 that is where it's at. You pick up the forsaken plot right where it left off in WC3.
phantomninjadog: PLEASE PICKUP THE “ Brother Anton” quest and do that storyline at level 34 IN STORMWIND. PLEASE I PROMISE YOU ITS ONE OF THE BEST QUESTLINES IN THE GAME.
narue2840: Since you said you regret not picking a PvP server, I'm even more sad seeing you in Hillsbrad. Questing in that zone on a PvP server is such a good experience.
tegamichi: 19:51 - That's Strahnbrad. The first Human Mission in Warcraft III RoC where you first played as Arthas in liberating the town from Blackrock Orcs. You came Full Circle! ...Kind of.
Exor2: If you played as Horde you would recognize every faction leader from WC3... XD
And yes, I want you do another playthrough as horde since the plot narrative is so different!
acpmadness: I always look forward to these!
