TekillaPL: Classic plus can be everything playerbase wanted since 2004 og vanilla, finished kalimdor and eastern kingdoms, playable high elves and ogres, pirate empire expanded, new islands marked on the map, from kul tiran to dragon isles, so many forgotten and unfinished stories. They have a clean slate to add years of amazing and easy to make content and only thing that holds them back are blizzard themselves. BigJB21: You're right in saying that classic wow community is guys in their 30s who have other stuff going on in their lives now. As a guy in his 30s with other stuff goin on with life, I play wow about 8-10 hours a week. I rarely feel burnt out on seeing the same items and zones that I've been looking at off and on since Kronos in 2018. The interactions are always new, different friends come and go, its a nice break from the chaos of real life.

I hear the same gripes with the game now as I heard back in 2019, from the people who 1-60ed in a week or two and then didn't have anything to do for a couple months after. It's not about the game, its about our relationship with the game and how easily the relationship can be abused when it becomes the center of life. Classic never asked its players to become streamers and play 80 hours a week.

A shiny new game from 2026 Blizzard won't change behavioral patterns. It will get min maxed by the same people who min max classic, and probably in significantly less time as modern 'blockbuster' games have zero depth these days. Expecting something from Blizzard in the year of our Lord 2026? that's rough

2017 - Playing Lights Hope after experiencing the Nost shutdown and playing on it from 2015. (Yes my favorite flavor is vanilla)

2019 - Took a week off of work to play classic at launch and no lifed it all the way to 60.

2023 - Hyped for SOD and its potential (More hopium)

2026 - Huffing as much hopium/copium as possible for any possible new WoW game like a true addict

tuborg38: Classic can be the expanded Vanilla with the PvE story focused gameplay, but WoW2 needs to be a mount and blade with all the races being their own factions. Turf war, and sieges, back to the Warcraft we imagined WoW would be.

Take inspiration from other games, but make it explicitly Warcraft. No more horde vs alliance, that war is stale, and aged. Bring back the vision.

That, Blizz rather stick to their arrogance - I am, out of principle likely not going to engage.

I love the old graphics even. The new one is too smooth & cartoony.
