Shopping CartBigbigvoodoo: This looks great. Magister's Terrace and the interactions between Umbric and Rommath feel like old school Warcraft again.
filipvadas7602: I really wish The Void & its creatures were more eldritch and terrifying. That or maybe The Old Gods simply set TOO STRONG of a first impression....
Ar1AnX1x: I think its really weak writing how that void creature just sounds almost like any other evil character, I always imagined the void to be completely inhuman, like how the old gods sound, the way Void is written in this expansion, it's like its completely a different thing from The Old Gods
Ar1AnX1x: I wish the void invasion was more unique and creative, they're pretty much like legion but with a different color
Dreythe: I have to give them credit where it's due. Their in-game style cinematics have come a long way.
EatTheMarxists: Alleria and Xal’ are the same person. It’s a bootstrap paradox.
JacSun10: Seems either a love arc betwen umbric and rommath or they making rommath a boss/obstacle in 2nd part of midnight
Austinjt126: I miss when WoW was about brutality, loss, revenge, honor, and hard-won alliances. This feels very much like My Little WoW: Friendship is Magic.
All the story points every single expansion boil down to "with love, compassion, and friendship, we can win the day." It's fucking boring and overdone. It ruins otherwise great storylines.
Villains are evil, they're not even complex. They're just bad because bad / selfish/ power-hungry.
The Heroes are good because good, with a sprinkle of inner turmoil, disguised as character growth.
Those are tropes that bad writers use to hide the fact that they're bad writers.
This games demographic has always been those who grew up with it, and largely focuses on the group of adults who are roughly 25-50. This is insane that the writing and plot foci has degraded to a viewpoint where they treat the viewer like we're 15 and have never seen a complex villain or a tumultuous and brutal storyline in our lives. It's disrespectful to the history of this franchise.
br0taa457: Dialogue between Aleria and Arathor is so poorly written. He is just young Anduin 2.0 and she is just very boring. I cringe everytime he calls her mother at the end of a sentence. 3rd graders would have written better dialogue
Gubbykahn: I must say Umbric knows more than he wants to tell everyone. I bet the Army of Light is actually the real enemy in this, because as long Light exist, there is Shadow (Void) so if you remove the Light the Void cant exists anymore because only both can exists through each other
henrifunke3825: Oh dear, it's just getting worse every expansion
Ar1AnX1x: I want Alleria to act more like someone who has void powers, sure she's in control but you can't just write her like any other character, she has to always be in conflict, sometimes even seeming evil or very cold and in different, there's gotta be conflict, but she seems too sane, if its that easy to control then more people should use the void
it should be nearly impossible to control but with Alleria it doesn't even really seem that hard
captainh5329: i swear bruh if they make Lothraxion a bad guy it'd be the lamest thing ever. Why is Blizzard making the light seem so evil? Shallow storytelling
Thorerthedwarf: Welcome to modern WoW, where the light is bad and the void is good.
piotrjeske4599: Ah she was just misunderstood. And wanted to protect us from the real evil the Titans (male) and Light.
spaceparrot8702: I think Rommath has a big fat crush on Umbric. The erotic tension between them runs thicker than darkness in the Voidstorm.
wesleyvl8572: Every new wow is just geting even wors then before
ReyReyzzz: i've heard some very good things about arator's questline around azeorth
HeckerBonker: It's looking pretty good so far
keihndeth: So they turned Light into the Far-Right and Void into Leftists. Typical California brainrot. How tragic how they've destroyed the Lore...
epicshade3463: I wish the design of void creatures truly had many more designs and things that set them apart from each other too.
ozrhyel2234: I actually thought that Lothraxion could have been written as more interesting character connected to the Cosmic Forces of Death, given his origins.
Did not expect him to be written like this, a zealot of the Light through and through. It feels like a waste of a good subplot. (IMO)
firestar29: I wholeheartedly support Rommath - Umbric should be dealt with before he fcks up even more. And with Veressa's vision from the pre-patch, I'm sure he will.
