Why run a 1.5-month PTR for TBC Classic, a version that was already released once on live servers?

There are no major system changes, no big reworks, nothing that looks fundamentally new or risky. Most of this content has already been battle-tested by the community, in production, years ago.

So what exactly is being validated for that long?

Maybe there’s a technical or organizational reason I’m missing, but without clear changes to justify it, the timeline just looks oddly disconnected from the scope of what’s being shipped.
