SWTOR Toxicity Cheating Exposed How PvP Went From Good to Toxic 2026

thomasstewart1774: You’re 100% correct! BTW Joining Mando has been awesome. Everyone’s been so welcoming, and it’s made learning the game and even trying some PvP actually fun. It’s great being in a guild that doesn’t expect perfection, just encourages you to play, learn, and enjoy the ride.

LingWujue: I agree with what you've said, but I'd also like to mention that pvp is not the only content where "toxicity" is. I've had my fair share of toxicity in pve too. From people queing master mode fps just to sit there and watch you die without lifting a finger, to people votekicking you right before finishing the fp. For a new player, I imagine that experience being even worse, as people simply expect you to know everything about the game. Or at least to a degree... I am no saint myself, but I also try to not engage in such 'activities'. Glad you're talking about the topic.

KevinG9012: PvP premades are what really kill max level PvP. Solo queue is very rough. Lowbie pvp is a lot more fun for solo queues.

arkh4689: I just got into swtor and got my character to lvl 80 yesterday but i still haven't done the intro for pvp or even looked at it because I suspected this kind of behaviour. Not really much room for entry but despite that, I'm enjoying the main focus of the game like the stories and pve content alot

Blackdawn80: One thing all TOXIC and banned players have in common, THEY ALL PVP. It breeds and promotes toxicity and acts as a magnet for people with that kind of gameplay personality.

user-ym5mc: maybe I'm tarded, but I don't play pvp because of general imbalance. Some groups get 3 healers, other none, premades and/or characters that just won't die while having 5 folks focusing them... whereas I die in 2 seconds in Warzone when being focused while having all of my defenses popped... to me pvp is nonsense and I find little to no joy in it.

J.Wozniak: Yeah totally man. Pvp in this game is hella toxic when you find gatekeepers/long time pvp players. I always enjoyed pvp and still do, but its crazy to have like 150 legacies in the ignore list all cause of pvp matches. I hope that in due time, people will play pvp to play objective and have fun, and not dps farming and "prove longer dick length"

marlayoutourist: People ignoring objectives is MUCH WORSE than farming your own guild for achievements. One affects me, one doesn't. Honestly I don't see people banging on people for low damage, I see people farming and spawn camping and just seemingly intending to make the wz unplayable for others.

Eshir92: damn them clips of you going around killing champion mobs without your hp droping below 90% while i'm looking at my lvl 80 assassin with a companion and a master datacron gear going how?!

Fareezad: I hate when playing a game, someone who play longer gatekeeping

murbellafrostwalker3337: I personally watched and called out the guilds in the warzones when they did what WoW players called "hydra" during WOD, because it ticked me off when certain guilds were being toxic to new players in the warzone, calling them trash, etc. When I called them out for what they were doing I got targeted even harder in those warzones. I've been PvPing since WoW in LK expansion so I'm no stranger to death in BGs or arenas and I'll call BS out when I see it. SWTOR changed the PvP because of cheaters feeding kills. I heard it directly from people associated with the dev team on why PvP changed and heard it directly from a former dev member on why things will not go back to rank pvp. I also think that people want the titles but don't want to put the work in to get those achievements. In most MMOs, a lot of people sign up for PvP and don't understand they will be targeted, will die, and then complain about it. I've been in your guild for over a year now and I look forward to PvPing with the guildies. If other guilds want to feed world pvp hits its up to them; not my circus not my monkey kind of thinking but queuing up for bgs, and arenas to feed kills is completely different in my eyes. Treating people like trash in any MMO isn't ok in my book and there is a difference between friendly trolling and being cruel. Everyone has a different skill level and never giving new players a chance to learn as I've seen some of these guilds do, is cutting their nose to spite the face. They could be losing out on someone who be loyal and asset to the guild. (rant over) =)

mlgsty8880: How ironic that I get recommended this video as soon as I touch pvp in SWTOR for the first time in probably 3 years (whenever they removed ranked). Its still as depressing to play as it was before but I want to get the armor set from the pvp seasons. I stopped playing when they removed ranked because that fucked with the matchmaking and soon there were only the tryhards with their premades left. Still seems to be that way, at least on Darth Malgus. At least the amount of death threats is far lower nowadays, or maybe I am just lucky in that regard.

speak2thehand194: Melee classes in this game (PVP/PvP) are killing this game...NiM Nefra for example...powetech vs ranges...omg...AND easy-mode jugg skant-tanks in PyP...

seawarddigitalmediagroup3808: From what I've seen on Satele Shan the que for pvp can be long depending on when you're on or what events are happening. I wouldn't say it's dead by any means, but I can clean out the Outlaws Den hidden treasures and never see another person about 90% of the time, so open world pvp is almost non-existent. The warzone and arena avg que time can go up to an hour, and GSF I've seen 2-3 hour que. Those aren't times waiting because there are so many doing it, those are times waiting for enough people for it.

NastyGenV: Man this new dmg number farming gameplay is just fuckin lame i hate it with a passion. Came back after a very long break to see pvp premades just stacking doing pve rotations and stroking their ego on the dmg numbers just to lose the match, like uh what...

TheAsmodianleader: are u on EU ?

PK-hr7xo: Thanks for the video, I do agree there has been a lot of the topic going on, but not only in PVP, but in PVE flash points and operations too. Never got in to the PVP of Swtor. Was very much into PVP and PVE of Base busting in SWG. In SWG ran with the Duel of Fates (DOF) guild we had a good crew but in the move to SWTOR the guild kind of died out. Mostly been running solo and helping others when and where I can. Again thanks for the video Gungho.

jans1916: Years ago when i learned how you‘d get the „darksaber“ crystal - thats pvp - i tried to do it but the toxicity was so bad, i stopped doing it. From time to time i think about doing it again but having to get the 12 medals (which takes its own time) while this is still the situation? No thanks

Cara-Calico: I really REALLY wish they would bring back ranked pvp

IllusiveMoose03: Yeah that's absolutely ridiculous. What is the point of the achievement if you know you cheated getting it? I'd love to get valor 100 but I definitely wouldn't do this to get it

demonicbeethoven: I don't see much connection between what the guild is doing and the situation involving PvP. The guild - we all know who it is - does that on planets like Mek-Sha, Voss, Makeb, or other planets that have separate PvP-achievements and they've been doing that for years. Sure, the kills also count towards Manhunter, but it does not compete with Warzones and Arena and the participants don't do it because of toxicity in PvP. Unless we made all instances on all planets open PvP-zones, it would require ages of waiting around to get 500 player kills on planets like Mek-Sha. And if we turned everything into open PvP, it would make things more toxic, I think, because what better way to farm player kills than to ambush a group engaged with Nightmare Pilgrim, Dread Pirate, or a DvL-boss with a bunch of snipers, so to prevent that, we'd have to make those areas sanctuaries. In short, the two sotuations are unrelated.

Toxicity, be it in PvE or PvP, is an issue and yes, many Warzones feel like players are just there to farm kills and don't play objectives. Sometimes, even pointing that out is being perceived as toxic because of "don't tell me how to play".

Then, we have the constant complaint about premades, but it often feels like the only way to ensure that the group plays the objectives instead of farming is to group up with like-minded players rather than rolling the dice. Otherwise, it's pure luck to end up in a group that guards objectives and "fights by the doors" instead of running around with their hair on fire. If the average player used their head and looked at the map what's going on, hence played in an organized manner, organized premades would be less of an issue because that organization is the primary difference in at least 3/5 of cases.

UncleBogator: Long time mmo player. Recent Mando foundling (Darth Brookz). I feel like pvp has always been the cesspool of the genre. Especially in the casual setting. This kill trading thing is bannable in some games.

Martynus7: I'm on Malgus, only encountered toxicity within PVP, often from enemy team. Then I 1v1 them and win and they become more toxic. Typical examples being tough behind the screen and no humbleness.

democedes817: I have played casually and ftp since 2013. I always played pvp. I returned to swotor from league of legends this year and finally subbed. Apart from a couple snide remarks in my first warzone, I haven’t received any negative comments. I also didn’t get farmed as I play tank/jugg :).Compared to league, swotor is chill lol. People not taking objectives seriously or even afking is frustrating but is part of any pvp experience.

PvP (warzones/arenas) have always been fun but hard to take seriously (though I do). You cannot choose which warzone/map you want to play. There is no cod-style team deathmatch mode for kda players. There are only a half-dozen warzone maps even after all these years.

The other issue is that the under-80 (the actually new players) pvp is pretty dead even on SF. It’s no longer a reliable way to get some quick xp or money. Why would a lvl 80 queue in to pvp when they tried it before only to get no xp after playing with half-a-team?

Without a big influx of naive new players and new pvp content and changes to the old content, pvp is staying dead relative to the rest of the game.

rodimus580: Never PvP’d in swtor and may NEVER!

MrBetterThanYou77: The PvP is the most unbalanced I’ve ever seen in any mmorpg, the fact over 75% of the player base plays the same 2-4 classes because they’re broken is a joke in itself. The PvP 6 years ago blew whatever they have done out the water

maximilianstraus9623: I dont see anything toxic about it, ppl are farming ach not getting any noob players who just progress through story any discomfort. Game does not designed for open world pvp it simply not working.
