Enjoy SWTOR while its here...

jmcgin1453: I think there is a good chance this game will never truly disappear. If it goes out like Star Wars Galaxies, the servers will shutdown, but a dedicated group of fans will create a private server and it will be business as usual. You can still play Galaxies right now. Old Republic will get the same treatment.

aaronmccamley6796: Its still very profitable, so i highly doubt Disney will nuke it

MysticTroll: There's a 0% chance this game is going away anytime soon. EA Q1 2026: It's getting Remastered with Frostbite 3 Engine components, DX12, QoL for backend support and ingame, plus there's a new expansion this year. You don't invest that into a dead game.

Mark-f8b: I’ve been thinking about playing it just for the single player aspect. I think it being an MMO has put me off.

eszterbalogh5252: Swtor is the one thing that introduced to me the deep lore of the eu and the reason why the sith species is my favourite. Btw, they teased Naga Sadow's lair, which is great. Fate of the old republic will be canon timeline

ThiefKingofLegend: Well they just made a Mac launcher, implementing a new engine, a new expansion on the way, a dedicated company to maintain it. I was excited for this game but didnt play because i didnt have the hardware and I wasnt gonna pay for a sub as a kid. Now I'm catching up on all the fun!

RAAM855: The money they make off Fashion lovers alone will keep it afloat. Say what you will about CCoins and the Market, it definitely is what saved the game from an early demise. So ultimately a right call. Especially when the ingame economy is abysmal cause of years of exploits.

And newcomers will always come to try it as the appeal of playing a Star Wars RPG that has pretty much all the gear and enemies inspired from every era is always gonna have someone sink some dough for at least one class playthrough. As what is the alternative? Theres is no SW game atm that really allows for player customization. Battlefront has you stuck with the heros and soldiers of their respective movies. Outlaws and Jedi Survivor forces you to play and look as who the writer wanted you as. So SWTOR has its place atm and I doubt it will be usurped anytime soon as Disney is very lethargic with making SW games compared to the Lucas era.

177BBDragon: I still keep coming back to SWTOR even after nearly all of my old guildmates are gone or not around when I am playing.

Martynus7: Hard, veeeery hard disagree, the hardest disagree I can give and of course without bad blood. I've been around in this game since 2012. The vanilla campaigns are unmatched, the decisions you can make, all the class stories to experience are beyond amazing. Indeed, the past years were bad, but still tens of thousands of players are playing this game. It is going to have something similar like with FFXIV, where the first expansion a Realm Reborn was indeed a rebirth itself. The game got updated completely and since then it's been a success.

In SWTOR, 8.0 is coming, even as I write this comment the devs are rebuilding its HeroEngine with DX12 support and implementing various features from Frostbite engine, thus not only it will be better in graphics, but new possibilities open up with content wise, and the performance will be fully maximized with moderns rigs as well. New raids, new customizations, new QoLs are coming and it's just around half year away! We'll be able to wait it out on half leg. I'm very looking forward to having this game reunite old veterans again.

MsSilentGaming: I disagree. SWTOR's best content is it's vanilla class campaigns. Everything after is from mediocre to garbage - mediocre being - ROTHC Dread masters War, garbage is everything including and after Shadow of Revan. I have been playing since the beta, and still play occasually hoping for some good content(which never comes). I have around 70 characters across multiple servers because every so often i replay class campaigns with 2-3 mains for newer content. It's been more than 10 years since Sith have been Sith and Jedi have been Jedi in this MMO, the story is the same for all calsses which cucks the force users beyond belief. If the writers do not get their together, the game will continue to suffer this prolonged slow death. ( and it is mostly dead, group content might take 4-5 hours queue for even tanks and healers these days)

calebblack1420: Every time I try and jump back into it I’m super overwhelmed with the grind and can’t even enjoy the story after the initial lvl 1-50 story.

emperorblackman5710: I've been playing off and on since release and have found be they new or old fans of star wars many don't know about the era or this game specifically so I've been making it my business to inform everyone I meet who is a fan to play this game. The fact that its free to play is intensely helpful too and that some of the grindy aspects have been pulled out from when it was FIRST released. Given the age it can be installed on most if not all hardware and all this info has helped me convince people to at least look into it.

Seaci2012Mar21: Starting in 2028 we get the Grand PUBLIC reveal of RL space alien bros (and inner terrestrials), SciFi/ Fantasy games in general will loose there draw when what was formerly covert and occulted becomes a lived public experience. The old world A113 pedo cloning cabal dies before the end of 2027, Every institution and every vile entity dominated human vessel... some of the "who" is going to be shocking for the bio weapon injected plebs, 80% of Hollywood and High level politicians- gone- as in frequency purged by the planetary ecosystems itself. Some of what sounds crazy is just early.

Wokytoxin: I think if they port to console the life of the game would be extended 10 fold

ricsiheffi5749: I Do recall being there in the Closed Beta and the Jedi Knight Storyline was SOOOOO Good! at the begininb ut my favorite Storyline is the Sith Inquisitor one wth one of the lines "I'm not cute I'M DEADLY!" that is the BEST LINE we could have from it

Its a wonderful game in the galaxy far far away and I KNOW we used to have such a great Roleplay Experience too on the server Progenitor but now the servers are gone mashed together and yet its not harder to find people to roleplay with more then ever. So I'm sad and I'll be missing this game should it meet its untimely demise.

I may have been a bit too harsh on it for multiple reasons yet in hindsight it trully is a wonderful memorable game that I'll cherish for as long as it may live!

FluffyComeBack: I’m a new player and immediately spent over 200 dollars just to appreciate all the dialogue and VA in the game. It’s not perfect but at least there’s something, modern video games is going towards a Ubisoft direction so I hope this online game could at least survive or inspire next game to try provide as much content

TheSlade26: If only it would come to console. I'm sure it would garner a ton of new gamers...

lithari1480: They are even patching a new engine, i believe a version of Frostbite to be the new engine and they are hard at work to replace its current engine, which is severely outdated.

deeber3960: I think SWTOR still has some time to go, particularly since moving from BioWare to Broadsword and the technical updates that have been coming through. But I agree with the sentiment from the video title: for anyone who's a Star Wars gamer, enjoy SWTOR while it's still here.

vortex3833: Need Vaylin

ss-oq9pc: I played it years ago, I really liked the spy story, but I couldn't finish it because I found the game play to be so repetitive and boring.

Ashalorian: Why make such a Video if this year we get tons of updates? 7:20 Video for no reason?
