andrewross5454: Boomy.. the fact that they took over the fubar hero engine, made new content and the (almost full) reconstruction of the code.. they deserve some credit.

I followed this game obsessively during development. The game came UNDONE because of engine issues. The hero engine was a mess to inherit. They dont have the sexiest pr.. they don't have the flask and gimick.. but they do have a long term vision.

NOTHING was going to come of SWTOR's salvaged potential without the codes reconstruction. The fact they they got it done within years of inheriting the mess is like a cot damned miracle.

There's a lot more cooking behind the scenes boom. They deleted the post because THEY HAVE A LOT MORE TO SHARE.. when it's ready.

Also.. No hate towards swtorista but yeah it's nauesiatingly promotional for swtor.. thank you for a no nonsense and honest take on swtor news.. there's still a flicker of a fire thaf burn in my heart for this game..

It breaks my heart that the visionary that made it wanted nothing more than to turn around and remake everything and they turned him down.

We never got the SWTOR we wanted.. but the one we got is still pretty damn good.

If anything, it's a lesson in not creating a custom engine for an mmo.

TheZamaron: I really hope they NEVER shut the game down. I really hope if they have to stop with the game they put it in a "legacy" state, like Destiny 1 and 2 a final update but for SWTOR to finish any bugs, wrap up storylines, and make sure there's enough content for players to want to at least occasionally keep coming back. Personally I hope before the end development whenever that is, they at some point do 2 things, bring the game to console with cross save, AND let us be able to either replay completed story missions on existing characters, or let us "clone" a character to play through without worrying about leveling up.

mikecobalt7005: Maybe it was a SWTOR Dev asking and as such Keith does the super weird and replies in the Public. It was a plot to quell the many questions and "Doom & Gloom" gossip that has been intrinsic to SWTOR since EA walked away.

I started when the Revan expansion came out and left after the Jedha expansion, couldn't get used to the constantly changing stats and that expansion left my character poorer than before, that seemed backward.

Lol me and a friend came back to play after 5 years, he dont know any of english, so a spanish community put a mod for spanish game subtitles, we dont ask Broadsword for a full spanish voices translate, we just wanted a south america server, so we can bring all the south america players into the game, well take care of translate mods, sadly they never lissen, lot of people installed the game and leave cus they dont speak english or know any shit.

Sharo_TV: 5:00 I might be dumb and granted i am completely out of the loop when it comes to swtor but 13 updates in three years is an update every 2 to 3 months. That definitely seems like something to brag about because there are a ton of mmo's wow included that do not have such an update cadence.

But... unfortunately, this is a game without any commercials. Its hard to get new players. So... when a frustrated player finally rage quits, this means a little bit less money.

But I certainly do hope the Lucasfilm communication is really that good. I really love SWTOR as a game I hope it hold on for a couple of years. It's the last remnant of the old Legends Canon. And I DO hope there is still some creativity left. They theoretically still could tell many awesome stories in that era! Fingers crossed! At last... its not a total mess like that recent Star Citizen stream.

Cascaden-i2v: I could see updates getting further cut back if financials don't match the cost of operation.. 8.0 is not the update some people think it is. It sounds nice on paper but I think it will launch in a lackluster state. Quality over quantity should be the focus and it is not. The first thing ESO did when they added difficulty tiers was immediately confirm more exp, gold and loot for higher difficulties. Not sure why SWTOR is doing difficulty tiers AND separate iron man type new characters all at the same time. Should be two separate updates. Put out difficulty tiers and make it balanced, fun and rewarding first. Then introduce the Iron man system with some new class or playstyle for returning and Veteran players to get excited about. Swtor development is lacking leadership and planning.
