I Hate Runescape 3.

TylerDull: Please don’t take this as an insult, but I think the patreon song is absolute fire and your best creation. That’s all

SilencedRS: Fun fact: You can search up another player's username and copy their interface

GreyFencer: "at level 99, the maximum level of this skill"

who wants to tell him?

Wahligma: Funnily enough, I held rather negative views towards RS3, but decided to try it out when group ironman came out in November and I gotta say, while the main game looks absolutely abhorrently bad due to treasure hunter and MTX, the ironman experience has been one of the most fun MMO gaming experiences I've had in my life and absolutely recommend the ironman mode there.

JoeyJoJoJr17: I dislike RS3 for a lot of reasons, and you hit many points where I agree, but there's a lot

TheMrFancyKiwi: OSRS and RS3 have very different goals. OSRS wants to be about the journey, enjoying the grind, slowly chipping away at building yourself up until you stand at the top. RS3 wants to get you to the good stuff in the late game as fast as it can and basically be a power fantasy. The bile OSRS players throw at RS3 for being easy is pretty funny when they have RuneLite playing a lot of the game for them.

kollinpoindexter8859: The philosophy RS3 has is: We have a top tier mid to late game, lets get the players to that mid to late game so they can participate in that fantastic experience.

So, one of the reason RS3 felt so easy and resource scarce in the early game, is because they don't want you in the early game, or even the mid game for very long. It is also why dailies feel so important, because they are a "catchup" mechanic. Once you are "caught up", most accounts will skip the dailies unless its content they are already doing (reaper).

Also... RS3 combat is fantastic, but its never really taught. Learning a rotation, applying it to a boss, or just yoloing it can be very fun. You get a ridiculous knowledge about what abilities you can cheat auto attacks out of, how to get 2 autos from 1 ability swap, when to use those ultimate's, knowing how to phase bosses so you don't lose out on damage, ect. What makes RS3 a great game is the end game content.

SolaireIntensifies: As an RS3 player who recently maxed an ironman I agree with every one of your points (except the voice acting, some of the later voice acting can actually be very good, to the point where I was upset when new quests didn't

tardisgradeuniverse383: Spending half the video talking about quests being simplified in RS3. Meanwhile OSRS quest plugins literally highlight, solve, and bypass everything so you can literally turn your brain off and click your way to a quest cape. Classic

catalyst336: everyone overcomplicates the rs3 combat. you have builders and you have spenders. thats it. thats the whole system for the entire game.

chainsawz5618: as an RS3 player I've always been of the mind that it's had the better combat system, more engaging bosses that actually require effort and have mechanics, and better skilling, the the mtx have completely and utterly shoved everyone away from it so far that they don't want to give it the chance, and the dailies are what kept them from coming back, and i don't blame anyone for that.

zach4535: OSRS feels like you’re in a world, RS3 makes you feel like you’re in a theme park

TheBagel3: Really well done video as always. I am a big OSRS fan and also coincidentally got into RS3 recently too, first on a main using free treasure hunter keys whenever I got them and seeing how it felt, and now I am in a GIM with 2 friends. The way you transitioned from hating everything in the video to realizing "wait, this ISN'T, OSRS" is exactly how anyone from OSRS should approach RS3. It's different yet the same. It's a mostly familiar world that you interact with differently, and while it is definitely "easier" I don't think that makes it any worse of an experience. In fact I'd say it makes it more approachable, with a little time using the wiki just like OSRS, you can setup solid revolution bars and make most combat 1 click and wait as usual. The quests are charming and some downright beautiful. One of the biggest things I didn't see you mention is how incredible a lot of the new music is in RS3, very lovely stuff. I'm just kinda yappin now but I think anyone from OSRS who is looking to try RS3, should just give it a go. I sure as heck don't regret it. Again great video!

NeoPancake: NGL if they removed MTX from RS3 and changed nothing else they would have a pretty good game.

Goku-sm4pc: Rs3 is over hated

CrossingMinute: Nailed it! Once I stopped trying to play RS3 like I play OSRS, I found a lot of elements to be fun as an iron account. But dailies were ultimately my exit point as a player. Vis wax and that randomly generated forest you mentioned... omg I hated doing those things so much and I they felt so hard to avoid because of the huge disadvantages of pretending they weren't there.

TheBourbonWrench: As a life long RS3 maxed player slowly grinding 120s, I simply don't engage in dailies regularly. As in; I don't do them DAILY. I enjoy this game for everything you said before the daily section, and I simply don't care about daily things. Play how you enjoy and that's all that matters. I don't see them as a negative, I just see them as a different avenue for people to take if they enjoy doing daily content. As for me, I'm not spending my time on them so I'm not bothered by them.

TLDR; don't let things you don't enjoy ruin your experience. There's SO much to enjoy, quit stressing on the other stuff. Do what you want to do and have fun.

TigerFangRS: So, the biggest issue for rs3 long term is they are aware of what the problems are, that could really make rs3 great because there is a lot of good in the game, but they just won't change things.

Examples are they know MTX is a lot right now, they know that Aura system(Jack of trades example) needs changed and they have made some changes with moving some of the combat focused ones out into rewards from in game activities BUT they move to slow as they have had 10 years to correct things.

Fvoarin: I agree with most of your critiques. You missed on some stuff (you can have old looking skillcapes, and 99 isn't the max level) but you got most of it

But I will just add. Every single new skill is a hit, they're all fantastic. My personal favourite is archaeology, if you level it actively (and not full afk) you constantly interact with the lore and uncover secrets as you progress (realising as I got further into the vidoe that you covered all this). And I personally think the lore of rs3 is better than osrs. The lore is honestly one of the reasons I think all the storylines and quests from the last 5 years have all been great. Even the skill of necromancy that you stumbled on, was a continuation of the questing storyline, that you don't even realise unless you've played said quests. Because they've built it in such a way where you don't have to have done such quests to enjoy the skill and start from where it begins

Invention is also a fantastic skill and plays way different than any other skill in runescape. Even the way they changed smithing is better imo

I wish the levelling was slower and more of a grind. But I guess increasing the level cap was the easy fix that they chose to go with (99 is only 12.5% of the way to max)

On dailies? Worst part of the game, hands down (yes I think it's worse than keys). That's why I don't touch them. Yeah it felt worse at first not getting all that stuff, that put me behind. But on the other hand, once I got over the hurdle? Who cares? It's my character, no one else is playing it, I just go at my own pace and would rather do content I enjoy instead of dailies

Glad you enjoyed it. I always wish I could love this game again, like I do osrs, and like I did years and years ago. But I don't. I enjoy the game and have fun with it, and am a player who never stopped playing even when eoc was introduced. But the game just has a few too many negatives for me to love it. There are ways to ignore and avoid such content, but new players wouldn't know how, and it pushes them away for this reason. Which is why I don't love it. It's like Jagex are actively pushing players away who may enjoy later content, by making the starter content so horrendous. You persevering, and pushing through that hurdle (because you had to for this review) is a perfect example of this. You enjoy the game, to an extent, where you are now, but would you have even gotten to this stage if you didn't need to for your review??? And that's why I hate Jagex and what they've done to the early parts of the game

Novasaol: Brother i love you but you dont gotta pretend rs3's combat is crazy complet. Its building and burning meter, this is in like 90% of video games

civilservant9528: You look and sound like budget J1mmy

scrimbim6056: OSRS players say they're hardcore but

-Rune lite

-Timers

-Tile selecting/marking

-LITERAL QUEST GUIDE EXTENSIONS

It's so fucking funny bro
