Shopping Cartthemather1: Gunnarsgrunn is the Fremennik (Norwegian) name for the barb village, but you might have on occasion seen it referenced as Gunnar's Ground. Named so for the fact that it was settled by Gunnar, who led the runecrafting crusades that destroyed the temples around the runecrafting altars.
It's not mentioned particularly often, but it's core to the beginner quest Gunnar's Ground, which replaced Romeo & Juliet, and which you have not done yet.
gnomescape: 20:00 This is where the Plank box comes in handy as you can make 8 Frames at a time. Might not seem like much now but when you need 80 frames for one building... 21:00 Questioning at this point if Jolly ever tries to Trade with Bill and see he sells 250 Limestone Bricks per day?
TokenPandaRs: Fun fact: I’m like 90% certain the cutscene in this quest is voiced by Mod Ryan, who I’m sure you’re familiar with by now :)
Johan-ct3xg: Ayyyyy I just left a comment about the Fort on your last video, great to see you're picking it up!! Here's some thoughts about the video:
-Yeah the whole Gunnarsgrunn thing is a bit dumb, you're gonna have to do the Gunnar's Ground quest to know the context for that. This quest clearly assumes you already did that quest (or more likely the developers just straight up forgot about that quest being a thing because it's been out for ages). They definitely should update this quest to say Barbarian Village instead for those who haven''t done that quest.
-I very much agree with your takes on building the fort, it feels very rewarding to start of with nothing and build all the walls yourself. And I also really like all of the graphics of it all. You can actually climb on top of the walls via a ladder and just run around there. The graphics have been this way since it released yes, not part of the road to restoration. And I also really like the continuity of Bill being the old sawmill guy, makes more sense in universe of why the Fort is suddenly here where the sawmill used to be.
-Bill actually runs a shop where you can buy basic logs and planks and also limestone bricks. Honestly quite annoying that his quest dialogue just sends you off to gather the bricks by yourself when he's right there just selling him. Definitely way easier to get the stuff from him that way. He also still runs his old sawmill business: instantly converting the logs in your inventory to planks in return for money. So upsides are that it's instant but downsides are that it costs money and you won't get the construction xp that you'd get from doing it yourself. He can also only turn logs (any kind of logs) into planks but you're still gonna have to turn the planks into refined planks and then into frames yourself. Still it might sometimes be worth to use his plank making to shave off a little bit of time, if you have the money to burn.
-You can absolutely do the second quest "Murder on the Border" without fear of spoilers, definitely recommend. It's a fun little mystery quest, feels very standalone. The third quest "Unwelcome Guests"is also nearly entirely doable spoiler free, only the very end of it is a bit spoilery. But I consider it much more of a teaser than an actual spoiler so in my opinion it would still be safe to do, but to be safe I would ask other people what they think.
-It's a bit confusing because it's never properly explained but if you want to just purely train construction here you have to rebuild the same buildings that you already build. Doing so just won't change anything about the building and only function as a way to get more construction xp. For example if you've already build a tier 2 Workshop and you then construct a tier 1 workshop your workshop will just stay tier 2 and the act of building a tier 1 workshop is just for xp. Probably most efficient to try and build every building you can though, before you start rebuilding things that are already there.
connor-3455: sooo theres a quest called "gunners ground" and after doing that the area gets renamed on the world map to gunnars grunn... and it even updates on the world map
TableTopApprentice: You can repair your armor and wepeons in lumby at Bob its fairly cheap
sirzorba: 14:40 Yeah... the fort was part of the worst era for quest writing and New Foundations is unfortunately not the last(or the worst) you'll see of it, but the fort's facilities are absolutely worth the awkwardness.
bellayani0-0: I’ve been really trying to find a RS3 YouTuber, RuneScape content is saturated with osrs, I still watch them but glad I found you!
connor-3455: finally some entertainment on this mind numbing corp grind!
time to dig in, make sure you got something to sip on
Edge_Seeker: You don't have to remake the armour. You can just pay bob in lumbridge (Bob's axes) and he'll repair it for you.
Sonic_Singularity: I understand what you mean by the whole chosen one thing, but I feel like after enough adventures you lose the right to call yourself just a friendly neighborhood adventurer, given how you've beem involved in just about every major storyline thus far
thetiggler1: Great stuff jolly! You can see why so many were pushing you to start the Fort construction :D
Also i think you nailed the perfect amount of "meme sound effects" for lack of a better term. Enough to get a chuckle but not so much that its overwhelming. Killing it my guy!
cupcak3ninja209: yay! buckles in for a good show
seancapuchino6351: Have a fun adventure Austin:)
williamadams5471: Did you build the lodestone? I don't think you showed that in the video.
migs7220: Today I learned that you can right click on the quest name in the menu to toggle the blue thing and map labels!!!
joelmulligan8213: Fun fact, you can buy 250 limestone a day from Bill
PepperMarioo: The setup feels way more digestable if you lived through the 4th and 5th age and got the character devellopement it provides before ending up as a lord.
Piano218-zzz: You can buy limestone brick from Bob. There I said it! :P
lucasfef15: Please do bombard us with a quest video every day, thanks lol
fuzzy-pillar: Having players just pop out of the invisible lodestone is a bit of a bad look. They should have put a porta-loo there so it actually makes sense why someone would just randomly step out of that area.
EDIT: and for 43:20 they can have a man laying on the table so people doing their prayer look like they're giving them a back rub
Rustynova-RS: 75 agility is going to be annoying to level up lol and quick tip Bill can sell you regular logs, planks and limestones.
colorfulcolorist: I'm one of the ones that kept saying to start the Fort series. I'm glad you finally started. NOW you see why I like the fort so much. Every time I play the game, I start out at the Fort. It has everything I need, while I'm deciding what I want to do for the day.
The best part about making planks in the fort is that it doesn't cost anything.
P.S. You can search on the map itself. Top left corner of the map has a search box.
ytsejamz5608: Dropped a like for the Commodores cover, we need more funk appreciation in 2026
thomasv.5761: Nice vid!! After the quest grind maybe exploring unguided content like bosses, minigames, etc
MegaChickenfish: I love the dialogue of this quest. It really shines that the king has "entrusted you with this great fortress" (pawned off this decrepit, cursed, zombie-infested pile of rubble) but you are simply not going accept failure. This is YOUR fort now, and you're going to make this work! You source your own supplies, build your own walls, and your sheer, unbelievable adventurer stubbornness rubs off on the ragtag group of unpaid misfits you've somehow convinced to join you in this endeavor.
kylehanz1230: YES!
