EmpressArachne: As a heatseeker main i would've preferred 3's. HS 2's as ranked is silly. It's a demo dodging contest between goalies, which, like, would make a great training Playlist, but isn't great for ranked. 3's gives your team options. Counter the demo chasing by having 2 back, have 1 far up and one mid for passing plays, coordinate bumps with 2 playing up, it's a lot more versatile an experience.

WeshRL: Heatseeker main here. Yes we would’ve preferred 3s over 2s because 3s allows for a lot more versatility with playstyles and team play. However, I will say that 2s is better than 3s for improving fundamental heatseeker mechanics/concepts, like redirects, double taps, redirect defense, backboard defense, etc. (unless u just demo the whole time then ur not improving shit). Overall, we are glad we got a ranked mode and will be grinding it all season

hydroniumRL: Also the "heatseeker guys" most of them at least won't be complaining because 2v2 is actually the most popular version of it, and most of the tournaments set up for HS are 2v2. At higher levels the bumps nearly disappear because people can dodge them better so they just become obsolete. And the defense gets crazy and there are some really nice strats so you can end up getting some really long and tight games. (Got SSL in HS already like 4 hours after launch and only ran into 3 DDOS'ers!)
