Shopping Cartbigams1: Not everyone. Most fun Ive had in a very long time with a POE league. Divines are flowing and no plans of stopping anytime soon.
Scrote-Phillips: Great video, very well put. I dont think this is a bad league, really at all. It's the state of base monster loot all across the game, specifcally mapping for me.
ardalegallo1860: I think what he meant is why the no life players quitting the league. For us casual players this is my best league because I was able to farm like 20/30 div/hr just by doing charts and voyage. Other league mechanic you will need to juice hard to get this level of div/hr.
c-tothefourth4879: League mechanic is boring. Mapping is downgraded from mirage which was already bad
SourBogBubble: Zero non-tile Tinks aka actual drops, will in fact have people walking out the doors quickly with literally nothing keeping them around. Delve is my favorite thing to run in POE, so the in maps outside of maps argument is null with me and does not apply 1 bit. lol commenting before watching has its downsides but helps engagement lol
KosmatyWilczek: If you have played poe1 for a couple of years, there is simply nothing new. Possibly people have played poe2 slighly more since 0.5 introduced a lot of new content. So people are tiried and bored.
KenjiMiller: Loved the league mechanic
johnchampion4815: I felt some of the same things in trade league, so I switched to SSF since the league crafting mechanic is so powerful, and I'm having a great time. I'm not worrying about div/hr or any of the pressures to generate revenue. When I need something for my build, I farm for it.
sagi3933: I genuinely hope Charts and Voyages go core in some way, because I find them WAY more engaging as an out-of-map mechanic using a map-like item than Heist contracts and blueprints. Not saying I hate Heist, but I find Charts and Voyages genuinely enjoyable now after the QoL improvements over the last couple larger patches, and I am happy with where it is, maybe could use a few more special things about charts and dropping more special zone charts in general.
The loot found in charts and Voyages is genuinely good, sure monsters don't drop quite as much as the loot boxes, but they do drop raw divines or other loot frequently enough and mobs can be a focal point in your strategy for Voyages for sure.
With cursed ducats being added I expect improvements to generic drops and extra difficulty to build around (in my case I play Pconc Trickster, making me mostly immune against crits, ele ailments, slowdowns etc., heal easily and move fast while speedclearing; so I use the extra ele dmg, crit and ele pen ducat).
As for the crafting, I have not engaged with it much at all, but appreciate the fact that my allflame currency sells well so every single chart run is worth it and can be done superfast while focusing on where the allflame lanterns shine towards treasure. It is pretty busted though, so if allflame crafting were to go core, it would likely have to be more limited (less/2-3 ghostly copies, less currencies or item types applicable, more Intangibility added, requiring Ducats for special currencies used with it etc.).
All in all, I like this league much more than Mirage League and a lot of other past leagues despite Allflame being an out-of-map mechanic, and I sure hope GGG will add it to core despite the player retention being not quite where we would like to see it. I don't want to see it sink back to the bottom of the ocean...
Bhoot-x6f: Not me, really enjoying this league! 5 toons, all at lvl98
robertwendal5894: There's no league chase item, people want that league boss loot explosion with the build defining drop item.
Smashed-lt-Bro: When you play a POE2 league and then come back to a POE1 league the game feels 16 years old. Its this simple.
doranpe: Playing 3.29 on SSF was fun, completing the campaign quickly and progressing through mechanics like Harvest and Breach. The low retention rate is in the trade league because players complete everything with one build each time and get bored with the drops if they only farm Divine items to build the next build to show off and belittle the new league. Although, after so much improvement, the mechanics are just about going in and out farming only Dead Man's Sulphur.
_Aynix: League mechanic (charts, voyage) was huge disapointment and yet another dot on the chart as to what is wrong with "modern PoE'. So many league mechanics are now made in a way that monsters are just decoration that you almost want to skip, because they dont matter for the loot at all.
Jbravo408: I don't think the out of mapping mechanic is so much of the issue as much as how bad of a state they left mechanics after mirage. This and the monster loot as mentioned was pretty much all I saw for 99% of the complaints. It's still a fun league since the patches but they need a rework for next league for sure.
nonyabeeswacks1919: League went from am ok-ish playerbase last Friday afternoon, to this Monday being a dead league.
XNoXaRs: the difference between poe1 and 2 leagues is that 2 is adding orders of magnitude more content at present time, while it feels like 1 is working with a skeleton crew, the things they add aren't really new, they added mercs back but toned them down and made luminary the only one to really interact with them, they "revamped" spells by changing some numbers, adding pacts, and there is a lack of new items in a number of ways, sure the pearl ring is interesting, but over all it all feels a bit hollow
itzbigchicano001: I’m not necessarily quitting but definitely slowing down, it’s mostly my fault being a semi new player not knowing much AT ALL and picking a class that cost 3x as much to gear due to gearing 3 characters in 1 (me, merc and ancient guardian) and not knowing how to juice maps, do past seasonal mechanics or knowing what gear is good to sell ect ect, there’s a LOT of math and stuff to get a “good farm” going to make div/h best I can do rn is 4d/h and I feel like I’m doing everything I can, but obviously not, there’s a lot in the shadows I don’t know and it feels taxing to learn everything just to play the “endgame”
MrAbzGaming: Absolutely spot on with your observations and critique, I said from day one putting this outside of maps was a bad idea.
jayson546: Def doesn’t seem like it to me. My Merchant tab is poppin every day, and the economy is still very much alive.
Crafting is insane this league with Vesper. I’ve never had so much access to end game crafting before.
Guessing it’s just the smooth brains that need tink go brrr in order to keep their attention.
gocalixto: Streamer drama, that's why. I'm enjoying I don't care.
inneedofmedication: The crafting system got a huge buff with the allflame mechanic. To balance it they severely nerfed loot drops all around. On paper, that's an equal tradeoff. Except, a lot of players don't really craft, they farm and buy their gear. So GGG alienated the more casual player that doesn't want to invest the massive amount if time to learn the complicated crafting mechanics.
SteadyChasingMoneyBags: i really dont understand why GGG constantly thinks we need to be punished.... leave that for POE2 and let us zoom
Ccubed92: Well its a arpg at some point people will get bored doing the same exact thingfor month and move on to play other games. Lol nothing vastly change to keep a high retention longer than a month
Sup4Hippo: Leagues with strong crafting have lower retention as average player is able to "complete" their character faster. Harvest, necropolis, keepers and now allflame.
NikitaLogaza: PoE probably has the widest build variety in its history right now, but this was only possible due to the game being simplified as much as possible. There's no truly rewarding Uber content, other than the Valdo maps, which haven't changed and are essentially chests with predetermined rewards. PoE needs to fix not only the loot issue, but also significantly increase the difficulty of all content
BarnabyJonez: Poe2 hit diff
