josephsmith7023: You forgot about Blood Magic Ivory Tower (and most likely Energy Blade). Sure a well rolled Simplex or Eyes of the Greatwolf will outperform this, but the usual progression is Astramentis until you can afford the 60d eyes until you can afford to craft a 700d simplex attribute stack. This might actually outperform Astra with basically no downsides. You go for max ES roll and defense cata it, 480 flat ES is giga, you might pay 5d for that. You could look for some double corrupts on it, %str/%int, discipline aura effect.

_ByteBlaze_: You can stack mana on the Guardian and use the reserved mana to gain a bunch of ES and armour. This make int stacking very lucrative. Shaper's Touch allows stacking int and strength in this case.

Pharmacopium: This can also prevent you from using skills you don’t want to use, like Spirit Burst (linked to Archmage support) if you have no ES, which would be the case if you had Dissolution of the flesh equipped. This would cause you to be unable to use any skills that have a cost to cast, but one specific life stack skill does not cost life.. it reserves it. Enter: blood sacrament.

Blood sacrament life stackers once used abyssal jewel stacking as a budget option to scale big life and big damage from the helmet, but had no method to prevent spirit burst from being cast, so they would always spend down their spirit charges and lose their damage. Now, they can amulet swap to this for bossing, as long as their other skills don’t have a cost; they can probably just get their movement skill cost down to zero to call it a day. This build doesn’t use any other skills because it basically has no other sockets to use anyway. A good choice for the amulet swap could be the one that gives life per empty red socket - The Untouched Soul.

MelinaTheMad: The large amount of reduced maximum mana could be really useful if you want to stack a lot of mana burn from tinctures.

Derdelior: You can also take advantage of the reduced maximum mana by playing with the new rf of arcane devotion, taking less damage over time and gaining more cast speed

Vulgaels: Sooo, hierophant siege or shrapnel ballista can now go mana into poison totems??? All items are generic damage increase for those builds....crazy

blue_bazooka7178: Another option to the mana issue is to make use of the radiant faith of guardian and use your mana pool to reserve and provide your with flat added energy shield and armour. You could use this with something like divine shield, wicked ward, or zealots oath to keep a constant es regen for skill costs while still using the mana stacking defensively.

whateverppl1229: depending on the build, I would leech es. then I would use the following items, divine shield aegis aurora, coruscating elixir ivory tower. Now having a huge mana pool is good as chaos dmg goes to mana, lots of scaling for es, use life to reserve auras, can use mana for stuff like vitality as it costs a flat amount of mana. of course you also use archmage support

MrMarkusz: Arcane cloak still spends mana with this amulet so you can still proc indigon spell damage, but the cost wont ramp out of control

edwardtan7283: I think we might be able to make a case for divine shield and sap of the season mana burn stacking with ths amulet without using purpose of power. This could free up the timeless jewel for lethal pride.

Since in most sap of season build we wouldn't try to get any increase mana, and the mana cost of the skills are usually fairly low.
