Edit: Valid points all replies but elaborating on my last paragraph: With the Assassin relying on Elusive as defense is never gonna catch on. Damage is never a problem in PoE its the defense that is hard to get down and Assassin just makes it harder than it has to be. IMHO

JohnThems: Another reason why Blue Dream/Nightmare is a lot weaker than Red Dream/Nightmare is you get a lot of fire/elemental resists on the marauder jewel socket, especially with tattoos. Not so much lightning resists.

- Life stacker with Nameless Bloodline Witchmark Runegraft (synergises very well together) with new Foulborn Red Dream

- CWC Slayed Discharge of Missery (Reduce Skill effect Duration can reach 95% reduction now, without third ring bloodline)

- Monastery Bell Shield Charge shenanigans with new Emperor's Vigilance and Foulborn Ylfeban's Trickery (200% Spell damage to Retal attack skills)

- Foulborn Ghostwrithe EB Spellblade Lifestacker

- Some 98% lightning to chaos conversion with Foulborn Maligaro's Restraint Lycia Bloodline

- Lightning/Mana Stacking Chieftan with Foulborn Choir of the Storm Foulborn Skin of the Lords (CaptainLance9 promised to make this build)

- Foulborn The Formless Flame Bodyswap Totems (not sure tho its good, totems have very small base HP)

There's just TO MUCH build ideas to try, for one league

iAMxVV: Blue Nightmare likely not seeing love because most witch builds are either stacking mana (int) or heralds (tattoos) so I'm guessing that the opportunity cost of tattooing lightning resist is too high.

jordanharrison8769: Defense is ass in PoE. The best defense is just kill stuff faster. Almost no point into anything else. A: faster clear speed is better because more loot more quickly is better regardless, and B every map mod in t-17 completely destroys your defensive layers anyways. So the short answer is, kill faster from further away

Brian-wj5up: New uniques should definitely go core imho. Would like to see even more to really shake up the meta and really make some new builds be possible. Enhancing RF or nerfing something to drop it from 15% played to 5% played isnt really all that exciting, but build enabling stuff league to league keeps me playing. IE Whispers of Inifinity last league, accuracy int stacking jugg this league. Those kind of changes just feel good while not ruining dedicated skill players from other classes. The trickster action speed nerf wasnt needed, and even if it was, at most it should of been dropped to 100%. i will never agree with nerfing skills, items, trees, farming strats to such a degree that its no longer viable or interesting enough to play. I can already feel the golem nerfs coming next league because they are the FOTM of this league when in reality they dont need to be touched simply because they are popular.

brandenpedersen5127: I love when we hit uniques with the nerf bat, and then make them rarer on top of that. It really feels like they dont want us to ever touch things that they mess up the balance on and try to hide away that item in shame.

Windowlick_: I think foulborn uniques will probably go core right away, with a few exceptions. Since breach is already a core mechanic I can't see them completely removing it even in the short term. Some of the foulborns probably aren't sticking around, like double explode berek's respite or hand of thought and motion.

esvban: my defense is carried by permanent heart of flame uptime, pretty much doubles my max hit

mariomcp: I've been playing a General's Cry: Tectonic Slam of Catacylsm/Cyclone & Shockwave Juggernaut since league start and I hit 100 on it. Build has become absurdly tanky.

-95k Armor, 15% of armor applies to chaos damage,

-Divine shield ES mastery.

I have 5.5k HP 2.7k ES. DPS is respectable enough sitting at 13M with no tincture and 20M with it. Oriath's end is strong on the build for mapping (it is really cheap this league) cause of the generic scaling, especially AoE from all the endurance charges. Just pick something with nice density and do that. Absolutely will never be a super fast blaster like a wander, but it is fun!

You_Cant_Read: POE video comment sections are hilarious. Literally showing build diversity and a meta change and the comments are people telling you that you are doing a horrible job because they dont agree with the literal numbers being shown. I love this community.
