Mark mentioned it as "what if this character had lived a completely different life" (hence the name of the notable) , so they could go completely wild with adding notables that don't "fit" that part of the tree - eg poison. Just a really cool concept overall

Grodon94: Small note on the starting area discussion:

Some classes change the nodes of their starting area compared to playing another class wit the same starting point or a class with a different starting point.

Easiest example I could find was the witch getting some minion nodes to her starting left branch while sorceress and other unrelated classes get elemental damage on that same node. Since the image seems to be bad on a capture of the warrior skill tree, this might be why the starting choices seem so awkward.

Im not one of those players that has to min/max and make sure im only playing the most efficient build from day 1, I enjoy problem solving a new ascendancy. Im not saying im a great player that always figures this out (i fail often) but that doesnt matter to me. Thanks for sharing the info.

whatthecluck6874: People seem to forget the talisman is a weapon.. It's not only the druid who can use one.. I think this is a major issue, people's brains aren't connecting yet. All ascendancies can now be druids technically with it's weapon. We will see some extremely unique builds once we get to figure out what we all can do with it.

frustratedsquirrel: that early fire node cluster on the middle bottom right is going to be perfect for mercenaries leveling with incendiary shot. It gives us a reason to path over to some of the other nice ailment nodes that merc would normally have to strain for.
