qryvein: it helps more understanding the basic stats, because this will help one more to understand of why one dies and how the combat will make more sense since the basic stats are underlying for all abilities and combat. and will help one fight enemies easier as well. also enemies and bosses are using the same stats as the players. enemies and bosses have there own stat distribution, but by knowing what the stats actually do, its easier to plan on what you need. not saying that one will understand the game, but the game play will feel better. as example armour stat is the damage reduction of physical damage and is countered by ignoring enemies armour stat. players, enemies and bosses have ignore enemies armour in the core. and yes 100% enemies armour ignore all the time is possible in poe 1. one can search ignore armour in the passiv tree search and multiple choices will show. a majority of stats do have counter stats. so it depends on the situation. mostly it is about being lucky enough to not face a perfect counter setup to the player character.

luigikross9860: We should also acknowledge how harmless poe drama is lol, other games have actual horrible ppl and crimes, meanwhile here it's "u bild no gud me bild better". That's why i don't really feel bad when i enjoy leaguestart drama, sure it sometimes goes a bit far but it's rare and when i doesn't it's so entertaining. Also it makes the wait a bit more bearable

gijs7509: Yes, you are very correct. Personally every new league I grab my sub-optimal home-cooked bicycle. Generally not speedy, but I get to enjoy more of the scenery and don't ruin the planet with my interactions. Sure, some leagues I find that my bicycle is rocket fueled and without breaks, while others my bicycle seems to be missing a wheel. I just enjoy the process of playing and figuring things out, without worrying about if I can be done with all content within the first week.
