Stacking Abyss Uniques is Encouraged Behavior Path of Exile

jurjenvdweit: Gotta love the made in abyss reference in the thumbnail

Xar98: The main setup people used to run with lightpoacher was having enough reduced mana cost of skills for your main skill to cost 0, while running archmage support in lightpoacher.

This would make the spirit burst skill granted by the helm have higher mana cost based on your unreserved mana and, if the mana cost was higher than your current available mana(usually you'd drain your mana using agnostic and make sure you had no way to regen/leech/recover mana), spirit burst would never be cast and as such you would never consume your spirit charges allowing for high cast/attack speed scaling without sacrificing damage or consistancy as long as you had a writhing jar charge to reset the 10ish seconds timer spirit charges lasted for.

It was a very fun build with skills like ek of the massacre, sadly it is probably(to my knowledge) no longer achievable outside of standard since the reduced mana cost of skills mod can no longer be rolled/crafted on flasks, it would technically work with lifetap althought you would probably speedrun your hp to 0 extremely fast.

DAR0k88: Aybss jewel stacking is how you make cool T5-T4 unique weapons that have very interesting unique effects, but low damage actually viable.

One example is Story of the Vaal and its "Ignites inflicted with this Weapon deal 75% more Damage" with a bunch of flat fire (and other elements with ways to make those elements ignite).

Some unique claws and daggers have crazy 2.0x attack speed, but lack damage but with abyss jewels, you can turn them into psuedo-1000dps weapons and can easily be double corrupted because you find so many of them.

Toxicgazeful: Kurgal is the delve boss

AlessandroCattabiani: lightpoacher Gruthkul's Pelt combo: you cannot cast spells so you keep the spirit charges and a massive amount of extra damage. "spells are disabled" is one of the worst debuff in the game but this interaction is pretty cool imho

akaiappears: I see Made in Abyss, I click.

PenutReaper: If you can get spirit burst to cost more than you can afford, like with archmage, lifetap, etc. then you can keep the massive phys as all elements without ever losing the spirit charges

ARandomGoob: i prefer just using a bow

xXMGVXx: I did try life stacking with blood thirst five years ago using abyss jewels. Rare items with life and an abyss socket give you more life than you would normally get from that item slot. Just wanted to mention that added elemental damage is not the only way to get damage from the jewels.

robertromero5930: That thumbnail goes wild. Ive been playing clair obscur and have gotten such crazy made in abyss vibes from it.

deathdragon58: This is not Tornadoes! Do Better!

ARandomGoob: Kurgal is in delve you noob

Pharmacopium: I think a core build challenge with abyssal stacking is getting enough EHP pool. Your main source of pool will be from the abyssal jewel prefixes, which can roll up to 40 life, 40 mana, and 40 ES per jewel (if 6 mod, pick 2 for regular abyss jewels), so you end up incentivized to go hybrid, in a way. The other issue with this is that those are prefixes… and so are the flat damage rolls. So if you want flat damage directly from the jewels, you end up with a deficit of EHP pool.

A pretty straight forward way to address that issue is to use go for flat physical damage in the prefixes, which synergizes with the helmet (gain phys as extra ele) and will often also allow you to get life in the prefixes still. This relegates you to much fewer good jewel mod combinations, but works.

A potential method to avoid this balancing act with the prefixes is to not use them for flat damage. You could potentially get flat damage from the suffixes by stacking an attribute and using an item which provides #-# whatever damage per # STR/Int/Dex. Those mods are usually found on influenced weapons or synth implicits of weapons, which means you have a chase weapon to craft to do this, and you probably also want Squire, and the end result is pretty mid compared to most traditional stat stacking builds. In a similar vein, you could also seek flat damage from your HP pool, like with Relic of the Pact, which devolves into strength stacking anyway.

Overall, I think Relic of the Pact is the most efficient pairing with Abyssal stacking. You go crit with Rathpith globe shield. You primarily need 40 life on prefix, and for suffix you want either strength or crit multi. The abyssal mods you want are very efficient but also you are not pulled in many directions, which is a rare combination for abyss stackers. Because you can get high value out of 2-3 mod abyss jewels… you guessed it… ADORNED! The final form would be mostly magic 40 life 16 str (or crit multi) abyss jewels with synth and corrupted implicits. The main barrier for entry with this is that Relic of the Pact is a chase endgame unique from the trial master, and you need it to get it working. You CAN use other phys spells and do well, but nothing like the damage of Relic. The other distasteful aspect of the Relic use is that it’s Relic… you die sometimes if you get hit while casting. You also go dissolution of the flesh for 30% more life, which is also a polarizing playstyle.

Love-kq7iy: The memory line for grasping hands drops an absolute metric ton of 6 mod jewels. I know it's not really super ssf friendly, but for trade they're like five chaos and they can help me progress your Atlas if you're stuck in the early game because they're cheaper than maps

Prometheus1172: I remember during abyss league I used all the abyss uniques to make a sunder build using brightbeak as the main hand weapon, called it "elemental chainsaw" playing off Mathils ele buzzsaw build. Actually worked quite well and I've wanted to do an abyss stacking build but haven't really seen a good opportunity since. Maybe I'll end up doing one this league. Maybe accuracy stacking?

whateverppl1229: I feel like an abyss spectre build would work well, though it would have less options compared to normal builds that use abyss sockets

saberlily9562: Not the made in abyss thumb

JafoolyTing: This year June if for the boys.

russelllloyd5258: haha love that two hand hammer

lehuyhoang116: Wait, does unique abyss jewels stack with themself?

AidaninSKC: Just wached made in abbys and you baited me to click on your poe vid gj

guilhermehenrique-zj5tt: i thought it was a all 4 one. :/
