alfreynope5660: I really doubt she had intercourse with the beast, at least not in physical space. To my knowledge we haven't ever seen the beast have any type of sexual nature, in fact, the beast seems mostly to just corrupt people, and what people see in the beast tends to just be manifestations of their own wants. In a sense, the beast is a mirror.

The statement she makes also seems more like she's offering up her literal flesh to the beast, almost more in a consumptive way: "I desire more than what this mortal flesh could provide me, and so, now my darling, I am yours".

I really would also imagine this mechanic would involve Doryani in some way, if we're exploring something to do with his queen. He is one of the NPCs we can still interact with after the end of the campaign, so I have to imagine he'll have some things to say. However that does bring up the question; what happens before act 3 when we meet him? Do we just have a cryptic introduction from the coachman like we did with abyss, and then find some 'vaal portal' in act 3, much like we found the abyss hole in act 2?

I also question if bringing in vaal skills at this point is a good idea. Seems a bit odd to me to bring vaal skills when we don't even have access to all the skills. But I do think in a world where we already have multiple skill resource mechanics like glory, cooldowns, charges and power, souls would fit right in. On the other hand, I would actually say that perhaps corrupted currencies could be very interesting. Double corrupts are also good, but I think that alone would feel a bit lackluster as sole reward for the league mechanic.

Eetrexx: The Scourge connection to Atziri would tie up to the Initial Kalguuran expedition on Wraeclast. It is likely that the fiends that defeated the 4 knights of Kalguur (Olroth, Medved, Uhtred and Vorana) were in fact Scourge demons that marched after the Vaal Cataclysm. In fact, I belive this is also connected to the druids; I believe the first druids on Wraeclast were descendants of the Druids of the Broken Circle, and the Ezomytes were direct descendants of the first Kalguuran settlers on Wraeclast (Explains the runic magic that the Ezomytes are aware of). The First Ones could either be referring to those 4 knights in a mythical way or be entities on Wraeclast that helped the initial ezomyte people sustain the attacks of the Scourge demons that were possibly drawn out by Atziri herself.

All of this is speculation of course, but it would be poetic that we are finally going to be able to choose the Druid in the "Last of the Druids" and also dealing with the event that could be what started the druid circles in Wraeclast with the "Fate of the Vaal".

MrSpyrax: Between the 9th and 13th seconds of this teaser, we can see the beast as it is depicted in the POE 2 logo animation, with its 2 "wings" full of eyes.

I definitely think this is Atziri communing with the beast, whatever it means, but what's weird is that I thought the POE 2 logo beast version was unique, and different from the Beast that existed back then.
