Path of Exile 2 Vs Path of Exile 1

nekrazero8331: POE1 graph kinda looks like a seal

wethanddan: Jumping into POE 1 tomorrow for the first time , pumped

tripleraze321: Remember when this dude started out with Diablo(Immortal) and made a name for himself on Diablo then went darth on Diablo? One of the best content creator character arcs out there.

immatoll: I personally disagree with the "negative enjoyment" since they added gold and a proper way of respec early as a new player. The main issue with PoE1 was that you where barely able to try and this was something most of my friends hated about the game. There are people that want to discover a game by themself, but having an artifical barrier like the lack of early respec ability is nothing but stupid. And there is also no "pro gamer" argumentation here since every idiot is able to use a third party tool, website or guide, but not everyone wants to use these tools and experience the game by themself and not just play the game like a checklist simulator. I love PoE1, but there is still a stupid high amount of game systems / mechanics hidden or lack of information ingame. It was something cool before the internet existed and we played games to figure stuff out ourselfs, but these time has long gone.

Maususak: It feels like poe2 is new tutorial for poe1

HeroicPilotLOL: I played poe1 before when d4 released cus i couldn’t afford d4. Now i have 1.4k hours and still noob…

Blight forever!!

Hosmer408: Poe 1 is basically a straight line for me. I enjoy booting up a fresh character just as much as I love the endgame. There's so much to try and learn especially if you stay away from build guides.

DannyRhym3z: I think its gonna take a lot longer than a year for POE 2 to catch up to POE 1. If you think about it, the goal posts between the 2 games will never get closer as long as they continue to develop POE 1. It will never have the amount of content POE 1 has and thats one of, if not the biggest selling point of POE 1.

danecottee6859: The late game of POE 2 gets stale because you hit this wall where it becomes almost impossible to change gear around. They need to increase the number of sockets on gear, 3 for armour and 2 for everything else without a Vaal Orb. It was also a mistake to remove some of the jewel sockets on the passive tree.

Greg-if8es: This is a perfect video to mute my meeting and watch.

ArniQQ10: You have quicksilver flasks in PoE1, which makes leveling 300 times more enjoyable than the slog that is PoE2.

Zutang777: Brother you’re wrong about POE2. The ride up is BUMPY as heck.

I stoped playing and I wasn’t even that casual. But I guess I just didn’t know how to increase my defenses outside of hoping things gear drop.

lionfan96: for POE 1. i think the main learning curve is building the character. i never had a problem understanding sockets, support gems, or even the massive skill tree..

what i struggle with, even now, is prioritizing the skills and the gems.. which ones are best to pick early.. and which auras help the most. again, i always knew what these skills did.. but WHEN/IF to pick them was the problem.. and still is.

GeraldHarnack-x4t: The issue with POE2 is Jonathan is trying to make it RUTHLESS MODE. Nobody, and I mean nobody LIKES RUTHLESS MODE in POE1. So why in the HELL would anyone like it in POE2 with a shiny new coat of paint?

wizaibi: It's not an end game problem, it's a fundamental game problem for poe2.

TheQoogle: I bounced of poe 4 times after like 2-3 hours in the years between 2013 and 2016. Essence league in 2016 I finished 4 acts in 3 difficulties the first time then quit. I didn't return for Breach because I was occupied with university. Then Legacy league came start of 2017, I truly reached maps, it all made made click. It can take time to click with the game but when it does it's over for your free time.

julianoramos6411: The beginning of the graph on POE 1 had me rolling! So true

milddivine146: First time playing poe1 and the graphs explain my problem with poe2 i just hit a brick wall in SSF couldnt find an upgrade for a body armour and just gave up with nothing to do or target farm/poor crafting systems. Looking forward to poe1 experience, debating if i’m gonna do ssf so far im thinking yes

BeneTanStarcraft: I think poe2 is just not very fun, even the campaign. It's too slow and clunky with very little loot excitement. I really have tried liking it, but I just recently went back to play some poe1 after playing poe2 and it just feels so much better.

Hitting leap slam again after playing poe2 reminded me immediately why poe2 feels so slow and bad

Drakore4: Something that I feel needs to be said but people have forgotten, the only reason anyone feels the way they do about poe2 is because we have been spoiled by poe1 development. It’s not as simple as “well poe1 has been out for so long” no it’s literally that we have been spoiled by the sheer amount of content and bloat that has gone into the game over the years.

A long time ago poe1 wasn’t too different from poe2. Damage wasn’t as high, loot wasn’t as crazy, bosses were scary, the campaign took longer especially for newer players, and the endgame was literally just grinding maps to build your next character and do it all over. Multiple difficulties, damage numbers in the thousands not billions, maps took minutes not seconds, and there was no such thing as a pinnacle boss. Poe1 did all of that and was STILL SUCCESSFUL. We can’t put poe1 on a pedestal and look down on these things existing in poe2 when the only reason why poe1 got to where it is today is because it literally was poe2 once upon a time. Just wanted to remind people about this since they are watching this video.

EricKing: For POE2 to ever get past the "just ok" level, GGG will have to get over their fear of letting the players just have fun. That game is just too stingy on every level.

GLmig: Freaking cat miauing in the background. Made me stop a couple of times to look at my cats to see if something was wrong lol

NearioNL: I clearly understood, up front, that POE1 is the better ARGP atm. However, I never (I got it in beta, cause I was looking for a new Diablo at that time) really got into POE. I tried 3 or 4 times. And with all the updates I feel, i don't know, so far behind.

With POE2 though, I got into it instantly and had to goal to "keep up" with the updates, cause I know - this game will be fantastic in a years time, and this time around - I wont let myself slack off and get that "behind" feeling again.

However.... I just downloaded POE again, because of this video. Cause yes, maybe with my experience with POE2 now and I can get into POE more easily.

itshenrihere: As a new player. It was a huge turn off seeing how many elitists there were (including streamers) compared to other games I've played. I would turn to forums for example not realising that it would be a huge mistake, as it was one of the most toxic environments ever. Darth is the only POE streamer I've enjoyed so far that hasn't gotten a bloated ego...

SponsoredbyPfizer: If Poe 1 looked like Poe 2 I would be so happy
