Shopping Cartashmath487: I'm going to play it. And if I enjoy it I will play more, if I don't and get burn out, I can set it down and come back next patch. Really no downside.
Ezystutters: The people who fast track and shortcut the game as much as possible are the ones who complain about running out of content. It's a completely self made problem. Let them stay mad.
Demonicon: The decreased density in endgame maps just makes more sense for PoE2. It increases performance and stability of the game and better fits their vision of the game. It also expands build variety, on paper. We'll have to see how it shakes out live but I think they are committed to this change. This decision is probably why they delayed "the end game" patch so they could tweak and adjust things before rolling those changes out. This game already has more content than 99% of ARPGs and it's still in beta. P.S. I think it's very healthy to take a break from social media regularly to help ground yourself. So much rage bait and siloed content.
AngraBotha: "By far the biggest and best change this patch, is the 40% reduced monster density in endgame in maps."
My man is based as hell. Content updates are one thing, but this change is an acknowledgement about the broader game direction. The most important change of the patch.
~MrShishu was here.
-who-: Hopefully those people saying they will skip 0.4 actually skip it. No server problems on druid release sounds good to me
warhokn4178: Hey Tri I know you said youre not reading comments but I really appreciate what you do and your enthusiasm and many others do as well.
CastisV: I just finished playing POE1 for 150 hours since the last update, and I'm so glad POE2 isn't just copying that game. I couldn't tell what the heck was happening on my screen the entire end game in POE1, and everything died in one hit, besides some rares and bosses obviously. I like POE1, it was fun, but I like the pace of POE2 much better, and I don't want to feel like a race car out there blasting the screen.
kyoufukoso3537: POE community has people who have no idea how game development works.
berrycrepes: I think that the lowering of pack numbers is a good thing. Make the differences between PoE 1 & 2 more obvious so that people can decide which experience they prefer.
lemonZzzzs: I was going to be mad we didn't get the rest of the game, not to mention poe2 0.4 isn't going to do my taxes for me... but then I remembered there are other games out there and other things to do with my life.
As it is, 0.4 sounds like it has enough cool stuff to give me quite a few hours of fun. And after that, I'll either move on to other games for a bit, or do something else with my life, I don't know. Maybe occasionally come back to test some build ideas, whatever. Maybe play with friends...
WTF is up with people nowadays o.O;
twistedumbrella7537: I skipped the last update and was more looking forward to Templar, but druid looking mighty fine, coming back this update.
rickfowler273: I love the look of those deep Vaal dungeons. I need a pc wallpaper of this or the Queen.
nidus9997: Just bcs of the performance uplifts alone, i am now beyond hyped to play
adriandraganescu6040: Very excited for monster density change, it won't be enough but it is a great change in the right direction
NilSirrah: Poe 2 end game feels Poe 1: SCREEECH
Poe 2 end game is now Poe 2: LOUDER SCREECH
FreeArk3733: ANYONE WHO AINT STOKED IS reasonable in their opinoins and I totally understand
ayres_413: My personal rating for the reveal is around 7 or 8 out of 10.
Hoping for the next season to get the endgame changes.
Also the druid reveal looked so good....happy transforming ppl
crumbler81: No new trial was the biggest bummer for me, still psyched for the new league and class though!
McSupra_Streams: I would like you to ask Johnny Rodgers if we should be expecting some endgame updates mid league. Their wording during the announcement seemed to hint this.
rickcasual: Ive been trying out Titan Quest 2, i feel like the combat they are wanting in POE 2 is present in TQ2, its a lot slower and a lot more strategic, the packs are small and powerful, one shotting anything doesnt feel possible, i actually have to play the mechanics and be more careful. In POE2, right now i just hold down leap slam, blow up the whole screen, and if im not leap slamming i die because i am relying on leech and life regen. if im not leeching i almost die instantly in T14 , it doesnt feel good, i have maxed out resistances and still getting one shot by things i cant even see sometimes. In TQ2, that literally never happens, the visual cues are on point and the moves are choreographed in such a way that you know you what you have to do in that moment to not get hit, and you always know how you died. I really like both games at the moment.
crunchynapkn3547: Question for Johnathan:
Are we going to get more transformation skins down the line e.g. echidna/hedgehog bear form (I really want to play thorns druid)
GunnerMarko: Shaman was literally my favorite class in WoW when I played it years ago. I'm hyped for the patch.
InkandCorrosion: Good lord, why is nobody ever happy about fucking anything? Bloody hell, touch some grass.
eksleja: im super happy they're reducing pack size, been wanting this ever since I tried out No Rest for the Wicked. Given how all the white mobs have their own unique mechanics, I really wanted to see them make smaller synergistic packs that require you to figure out the targeting hierarchy.
eatdacrocodile1692: Being an unfinished game but having enough content for us to spend 10 hours a day playing for 1-2 months each league already required crazy hard work.
For the pack size nerf, we have to try it in the game first.
I see it as a buff because mobs literally drop more loot; and I know ppl will find ways to substitute the pack size.
