rockkiller124: Same, POE2 spoiled me so badly despite the game is in early access. I tried getting into POE1 multiple times but it just didn't click for me.

demonbird166: Path of exile 2 still has a long way to go. And to be honest, the elements that feel the worst to me are all the POE1 mechanics they slapped into the game (basically most of endgame).

I really hope they come up with something new and unique that suits POE2 better, and it'll be the most amazing ARPG.

junk3996: see, im actually playing poe1 again (never thought i would) and i don't play busted builds or blast like crazy etc, and im really enjoying it. mostly because i feel like its respecting my time more than poe2, and what i mean by that is i can feel the progression.

im just hitting maps right now and starting to feel a big difficulty spike so i know its time to upgrade and get key pieces of gear for my build etc, and i can actually farm a little bit to do just that. poe2 it seems like everything is so scarce and would take days just to make one upgrade type of thing.

also im just noticing how bad poe2 feels in certain ways. like poe1 i really do feel like i can pick any skill i want and like to play and make it work (im playing storm burst right now). where as in poe2 you're really held to a certain way to play certain skills etc. or kinda forced to be a specific ascendancy to play certain skills. also there is much less variability in skills you do choose to play. you kind of have to play them very similarly than anyone else playing that same skill, because there just aren't enough options and choices yet.

differences from poe1 to poe2 are so large to see in things like attributes. in poe1 required attributes are like HALF of what they are in poe2, and yet passives/gear give you DOUBLE what they do in poe2, its crazy. and i must say i highly prefer poe1 in this aspect.

things like resistances, or chaos resistance are the same. for example, amethyst ring in poe1 gives 17-23% chaos resistance implicit, while in poe2 its 7-13%. like....

and these issues compound on each other, since poe2 gives less resistance and attributes, you basically HAVE to have them on several pieces of gear. yet they're both suffixes, so they're eating away other suffix rolls for things you feel absolutely forced to get.

obviously poe1 can get out of hand. it never does for me and not abusing it, it feels really good IMO. poe2 does still feel like a slog and the reason i stopped logging into poe2 for now is because i felt like my time spent there wasn't fruitful at all.

can't wait for poe2 to cook more. but i do hope poe2 gets some new unique ideas to its own and doesn't just become poe1.2

2 needs its own uniques, own mechanics, its own identity

Br3576: The lack of engaging gameplay is exactly why I couldn’t get into PoE1 as a new player with nearly 1,000 hours in PoE2. I tried to force myself to play it but the combat/movement just felt bleh and I stopped playing it after a few sittings and a few hours of gameplay.

I think the nail in the coffin for me was that I was using a build guide which I never do in any game outside of WoW. Completely sucked all the fun out of character building for me. I should have just winged a build, but I just really wanted the cosmetics so I could get back to PoE1. Big mistake

Middove: Yeah I got one shot today to a merc who does fire damage while I am 89 max fire res righteous fire build. 7k hours in and now I can't go back.

By that I mean a group of players who have pretty deep knowledge of the game but limited time to play it. burr7259: I’m a casual as well for many of the same reasons you are. I started with Poe2 and don’t have time to learn both games and progress every league. Im excited to be along for the ride for 2 though!

RickCarleton: I don't find PoE2 worth paying at the moment (FOR ME) but the potential is there. They just really got to maintain its own feeling without slowly becoming PoE1. And after playing PoE1, the thing I found that doesn't sit well with me is... every build dreams of being fully automated. Triggers, procs, defenses and attacks going off with lesser player interaction. As your build completes, it simply becomes more of looking at mobs and collecting loot. Without player agency, I just get... BORED. PoE2 offers something more than that, but it is yet to realise that potential - Monk and now Huntress have gotten close to that level. Should also point out that one of the reasons I'm playing Poe1 is that i CAN; computer threatens to self implode if I load up PoE2, time for an upgrade, dammit!

newax_productions2069: i dont understand this "poe2 gameplay has spoiled me" dude the gameplay of poe2 is ass, slow movement, multiple skill set ups to even do damage, not enough content, i can finish poe2 in a few days poe1 im multiple weeks into a league and still finding gear for my toons. only select skills can be viable end game. I mean the game has so many more gameplay related problems that poe1 just does not have.

chrisverba: The server issues have kept me from playing PoE 1 more than anything else. It's funny, when I come back to PoE 1 after a long break I feel like I have to learn it all over again, but I can hop right into PoE 2 after a break and be fine.

elektrar9620: Temp chain is absolutely ridiculous with the new change, don’t expect faster movement speed much better, once you get hit and you probably will, it is quite difficult to avoid it. Whoever made this change has never played this mod, it way too punishing, it not only movement, everything is slowed. I salvage all temp chains. Perhaps if you have blink in your build, it is doable. And the size of all curses are gigantic-my solution for the curses would be to let them grow from the center and within 2 seconds reach the full size.

The64332: Have about 1300 hours into poe2 and still love it, did some bossing with a buddy last night actually. But i did get poe1 to try it since i never had and i do enjoy it periodically, i have like 30-40 hours into rn and only in act like 8 but i have done trading and sat afk when im eating or just wanna watch something but i think the main thing that doesnt keep me playing is the gameplay loop when actually killing monsters, ya movement abilities are more common but at this point i frost blink to one side of the boss do some damage then frostblink to the other side, im spamming pretty much two buttons and its all on my mouse lol

wetwilly1643: This is a serious question. I enjoy the campaign in POE2 but when I get to maps I get really bored. How do I enjoy maps? I run like 6-7 maps and then my attention starts to wonder. Like load a map complete it do it again. IDK. Maybe I'm missing something that can help. Thoughts? Also I played a little bit of POE1 so it's not a "I love POE1" response
