I definitely felt like ground loot was nonexistent and only sources of guaranteed loot (chests, harvest monstets, voyages) make money. Abyss is in a dire state.

zoraogod8967: I've been playing ARPGs for many years, and one thing I've noticed as this league has gone on is that we've lost one of the best feelings these games used to offer: killing a rare monster and seeing an amazing or highly valuable item drop.

For most of Path of Exile, that feeling just isn't there anymore. The excitement of identifying a rare item and hoping it's something incredible has almost completely disappeared. Most rare equipment that drops is worthless, so instead of feeling rewarded when something hits the ground, you already expect it to be vendor trash.

That excitement was one of the core experiences that made ARPGs so addictive. Without it, killing monsters and hunting for loot feels much less rewarding, and I think that's a real loss for the game.

GamingNorthGaming: When I kill a rare monster I just expect some more xp, that's it, I often run past 50% of the rare monsters in a map anyway.

brandonwalker5011: I don't get the psychological distinction between getting loot from boxes/mechanics and getting it from ground loot. I get just as excited for a 12 div runegraft coming in my shipment as I do for a 12 div unique dropping on the ground.

bgtaylor89: i believe they have a "good reason" or a "philosophical reason" for doing the massive swings to balance, but i would love to hear Mark or Octavian concisely explain why. I definitely understand the danger of over-doing the loot but we are like, pretty far away from that place. Affliction was dangerously close and needed to be brought back but idk why we need these big swings over time. Its like they think if we don't suffer for a while we wont enjoy big loot leagues.

imnotme1657: I quit early despite lucking out and dropping an entire mirror in water maps. There was simply nothing to do as every farm strat has been made less fun or unrewarding. half the mechs in the game are just juicing mechanics that go with breach, and new breach is less fun than old breach.
