Wyattbw09: People can say what they want about this whole early access PoE 2 in terms of it being good or bad. However, it’s unquestionable that GGG loves their games and is willing to work however hard it takes to listen, respond, and change the game to make it more enjoyable as quickly as possible.
onion8860: Also, they changed the affix tiers back to the way it was in PoE1 (with T1 being the best)
emoussea1: People take this stuff way too seriously. Just let the dev's make the game, don't be a dick. If you don't like something leave some feedback and step away. It's really not that serious.
damasteryu: No matter how much people bash them, GGG always cooks in the end.
milanhavir4416: What I want to point out — and what is barely mentioned — is that PoE2 has amazing visuals. The artists and graphic teams did a 10/10 job.
I can't even imagine how such visuals could be improved. Every part of the world is rich in detail, with a feeling and plasticity, not just hollow textures.
youtoobz146: POE2 needs a year, give me mnore POE 1
Critterdale: Big change not mentioned, loot filters can now filter tiers of unidentified items. Makes later mapping better
ImperiusFate: 0.2.0h has already been released, we're on the verge of getting 0.2.1 now. I'm pretty sure the announcement for 0.2.1 dropped before the poe1 3.26 league teaser.
crazzy4194: After playing POE2 for 250hrs I feel ready to try POE1 with the new update
kydelastra: The contrast between the PoE announcements and the campfire chat from the D4 team is glaringly obvious.
I feel bad for the devs working under the management and creative directions for Diablo.
TheRockemsockm: It's a step in the right direction but it's still no where near close enough. aRPG's are based on loot and as long as PoE 2 is a merchant roleplaying game where people's gear comes from a website then it's not a real game. They need Last Epoch level solo self found modes and way to target gear for your build.
Kazyek: My main gripe with PoE2 is a pacing issue. We spend too much time walking and too little time fighting. I've wanted for a while to make a video with two timers, one showing the time in-combat and another one showing the time out-of-combat, and then making the same with PoE1 and comparing. Then, making a video edit where we'd simulate "movement skill" in PoE2 by just doing small burst of video speedup to simulate a "dash", and see how that impact these metrics and make the game's PACE feels SO much better.
Sadly, I have no video editing skills.
zetharic6345: "it's only early access" goes both ways, they're selling lootboxes and constantly sponsoring streamers from other genres to market the game, also they already said 1.0 might not include all classes, if i'm gonna open the gem page in 1.0 and still see "upcoming" placeholders for a bunch of stuff, what's the meaningful difference between early access and full launch besides the name?
-Kailinn-: 1000% agree, Raxx. Treasure chests in every game should be valuable but they're typically always useless, and drop something like gold and health potions or common items. If either they were less frequent but more rewarding, or they were very frequent but rarely rewarding, and when they were it was incredible, either one of those would be better than what we get in most games.
kmada3062: I'm still blasting poe2, and hope to see you in game soon.
MichaelHolmgaard: With the way GGG are monatizing POE2, there is no way people can use the "EA" excuse anymore. GG are monatizing and marketing the game as if it was a full release, so that is what the players will expect to be delivered when playing. Very reasonable
alexw.2988: I remember back in like 2020 I came to your stream and asked you about Poe, and you said you didn't like the mapping system and preferred D3. I'm glad you converted over.
derictate1750: i went back to try poe 2 again after all of their recent changes but now the game feels slow af after playing last epoch season 2 and i found myself going back to last epoch...i hope ggg can find a way to make poe 2 fun again to me but i realize they are currently catering to a different type of player
AlexisMIA1: Something I haven't seen discussed is the amount of risk associated with GGG choosing NOT to release PoE2 earlier rather than later. These games are a labour of love between the community and the developers. Imagine for a moment the size of the QA team required to test PoE2 to the degree that people expect... and they expect it because they know the calibre of game that GGG has been able to develop.
Ask yourself, do you think GGG's development efficiency is better now, or better 2 years ago?
I'm just grateful that a studio exists that has such a monolithic vision and is willing and able to deliver on it.
phatymcdaddy: I've never seen such hype for ANOTHER drop rate buff patch (the notes are a lot of fluff just saying they are buffing drop rates), and adding some items. We panned D4 for patch notes like these. We need to keep that same energy
JayBigDadyCy: In all fairness talking about the chests, last epoch does a pretty good job at making them impactful and fun to open
tiborkote: I would love the T0 unlimited Boss tries, this will help to learn boss mechanincs and how to defeat them with different classes.
99range92def: Surprised rax didn't mention the best update improved highlight function on searching in skill tree.
absolutely_entirelyforHimalone: It's not an official list unless it's in Paint.
On a more on topic note...I don't have a lot of experience with playing games in EA or looter arpgs - PoE 2 got me into the genre. I don't understand releasing a new league into an EA game when all we have are 3 acts to repeat. I'm so tired of playing the same acts. Even if these patches are awesome, I can't bring myself to go be back until they start adding new acts.
