Next PoE2 update after August is confirmed for December. Official launch? Still unknown, but probably not ready by end of 2025.

Raxx supports a "release it when it's done" approach.

3. Last Epoch - Season 3 starts August 21.

Teasers show a dinosaur/ancient beast theme. EHG (developers) are sticking to a 4-month release cycle, which may be why it overlaps with PoE2 again.

Raxx hopes future launches will avoid close overlaps between PoE2 and Last Epoch.

4. Diablo IV

No major updates until 2026. Yearly expansion plan seems delayed.

Raxx still likes Blizzard and would return to D4 if it becomes fun again.

5. Acknowledges criticism of his past video but reaffirms his genuine hope for the game to improve.

6. Other ARPGs

Grim Dawn is getting an update soon. Raxx plans to try it for the first time.

August is shaping up to be a huge month for ARPGs. Raxx will cover Last Epoch Season 3, PoE Gauntlet, PoE2 Early Access, and any Diablo IV news. Encourages devs to release games when they're ready, not rushed. Looks forward to the rest of 2025 being exciting for ARPG fans.

Matteroosky: In April when Johnathan interviewed with Dropped Frames he mentioned when talking about the Last Epoch controversy that he regrets what happened. He was more than happy giving EHG a full week (but probably not 2) next time before their new season comes out. Looks like that held up.

The game has been in "Early access" for over half a year and so far they have added.... 1 new class? Out of the 10 or so which are missing?

And no act 4. Or 5. Or 6.

Skill tree is still heinously bad, as is the endgame, and unique items. I have no faith in PoE2.

Not to overlook the obvious, but 4 months from Dawn of the Hunt lands on july 2nd. Even one day later, already puts you at above 4 months, and this is already over 1 month over. EHG announced their release date FIFTEEN days ahead of GGG, and GGG somehow still landed right on top of them, and almost 6 months past Dawn of the Hunt on the cusp of september? Can we stop pretending this isn't intentional at this point? GGG never cared about Blizzard, with good reason, their audiences were too different, but they certainly do care about EHG as competitors, even if EHG is still much much smaller.

That window was already broken for a VERY long time, and they still somehow landed right next to EHG? Come on Raxx.

Amorio: I hope Titan Quest 2 is just a really good standalone game, with some expansions down the line. I really don't have room on my plate for another live service ARPG and I also know I couldn't resist. Though that didn't stop Grim Dawn from taking a few thousand hours of... well I'm sure I'll be fine :)

JayBigDadyCy: Ya I agree... Ain't no way PoE2 will be launched fully this year. Most likely late spring next year. GGG is notorious for pushing things back. And it's always been beneficial imo. There's no need to rush the full launch. Game needs a ton of polish and stuff added beforehand. Like when will actual crafting be added? That will be a big one.
