WaffleStein: This alternating plan is what they always wanted to do bur it didn't work out so well the first time. I'd would be great but I'll believe it when I see it
devlin7282: He didn’t really say only two can make changes. He said only two can ship changes unchecked. So there are others who can work and propose changes, but needs review.
TalkativeTri: We've never been so back and I'm happy for it.
All they have to do is follow through, which I'm pretty confident they'll do - it would've been SILLY to say this clearly, for EVERYONE to hear, then completely faceplant in 6 months.
LOGIN INDEED NEXT 2 WEEKS GONNA BE GOOD!
Trinedyy: I can imagine how challenging it must be to find new balance developers for a complex game like Path of Exile. Especially since they want an on-premise work environment in New Zealand. The new developer basically needs to be a Poe nerd and at the same time engineer-minded. You are basically asking for people who create builds in poe to step in and move to the other side of the planet for crunch game developer salary. Path of exile is literally the best game ever created for me, but I would still think twice if I got the opportunity.
buddybrozy: i don't believe a word jonathan says
GameplaysAndGaming: Man i gotta say you really have nice voice for commenting this kind of stuff, also background choice is really nice too, keep it up u got a new sub!
GULAGMONK: At this point GGG's words have lost all credibility.
TheJregis: GGG is still running the same BS excuse. I am so sick of hearing about shifting developers from one game to another. They are separate fucking games and they deserve separate development teams. End of story!
trucelee50: GGG needs to hire more people. They're going to fall short on both games like this.
citrus459: Got 4 weeks paid vacation coming up shortly after the league launches. Who need sun and friends? Every interaction with a friend is a potential missed mageblood.
Fragmaster01: They definitely need more balance devs, even if that means hiring more. Bad balance and lack of fundamental testing was the main problem with the Huntress update, and they've always had a notorious sense of "the league will be far better a week after launch" because of obvious flaws.
ur4n1um95: he just tryna sell supporter pack to fans. dont believe until u see next league
rofltrance: Back street hasn’t even been this back. Thank you, Mr. Core!
TreezWonderland: you missed half of the statement, its 2 devs that can do it without a bunch of testing. there are more with testing and stuff. hopefully with time the number of experts in balancing will increase but i would not be too concerned for the moment.
marc-andreblais5818: When we see it we will believe it! for now we are waiting
Ashtarte3D: I will still say take anything Jonathan says with a huge grain of salt. He has claimed so many things during the past several years as Chris stepped back and the majority of them have turned out as falsehoods or straight up lies. There are still so many things the POE2 reveal promised for the original game that haven't happen and likely never will now, like removal of Fusings, new character rigs and so on.
n8doggy733: Bro you nailed it, balancing is sooooo important. I was super hyped to get Nightreign but after hearing about the balance issues I am going to wait for a sale. Devs need to balance their game well, they need to stop asssuming that everyone wants to play the same thing
shlomgoldberg9136: Jonathan has no credibility, and I do not care about PoE2 until it is complete.
Only two people being allowed to make balances changes is RIDICULOUS. Is this why we get those 0.1 radius cleave buffs?!
This is some insane micro management.- There is NO reason why a literal intern shouldn't be allowed to propose a list of changes for skills and have them rapid-fire approved.Terrible weightings killed Scourge league with the krangle machine.
There should be mid-league buffs to bad skills after one week done by some low-level employee immediately.
This is egregiously stupid to say the least, absolutely insane
newiczz: I do not agree with that, they missed deadlines because it was not enough time to develop solid league, that was the problem. This was old blizzard approach delay until you know you shipping something useful, new way of locking deadline (somewhat) is the new blizzard that everyone hates. I have 2 decades expirience in development and I am 100% positive it is a bad idea. Hope I am wrong! I do not think it will be missing some features like in mentioned 2 leagues, it will not be polished buggy and will suck.
matthewdeklerk3457: >2 teasers with zero information at all
WE ARE SO BAK ZOMG
poe players are the kings of cope. It hasnt been more over for them since poe2 was announced
114418514: I know we're happy that we're getting 3.26, but idk how ANYONE is still gullible enough to believe anything that comes out of Jonathan's mouth at this point.
mastery7901: I personally think relase every 2 months is a hard thing to do considering their staff numbers.
Its more than likely the updates will have delays between them.
Youve got to account for annual leaves, sickness, idea implementation difficulty etc.
rexdaemonicus: This company will be a while before it's back. GGG has historically always bitten off more than they can chew. We'll see later this year.
HaLo-t1c: The more frequent balance changes are often only relevant for the people who play every league from start to finish. That's like 0,5% of players or so. Most other people are happy that some builds get mostly unchecked, because they didn't get around to play them the league before etc.
I think he specificially worded it like he did to emphasize that they know how important balance is and that it's not an easy thing to do. Nothing more, nothing less.
-who-: A problem with them not doing balance changes mid league is that they are losing precious EA time before the game full releases, they are not really getting any new feedback about balance right now. It would be better to find something broken with a new balance patch 2/3 months into 0.2, than releasing 0.3 and finding out that X skill is too broken and now they cant do a nerf for 4 months
omegasybers1110: Are you okay? You sound a bit sick
