I use spell echo cascade short fuse and have 3 to its limit so theres 4 bombs for 4 infusions; and 3 overlapping hits can max out exposure; use short fuse I instead of II can be a middle ground for infusion speed vs exposure maximizing with less then 3 overlap

honordevs: @Kripparian When you reduce the duration of the skill, you need to remember you're also reducing Exposure Duration. This is a pretty big deal for QoL and I don't know why you didn't mention it. Love your videos, keep it up!

I timed it, and I do not see a noticeable difference in the detonation time with or without 'compressed duration'.

That said, this has caused me to realize my spark chronomancer has enough damage without immediate frost infusions, and that I stand to benefit more from the increased exposure.

RaptureSR: If you see a bunch of top players using short fuse, it's probably not because everyone is dumb, but because they're using it for a different purpose: infusion generation. Short Fuse is popular on Water Djinn builds because it's the fastest way to generate ice infusions for the aoe Ice nuke during speedfarming.

You're right that people probably shouldn't blindly copy the short fuse set up for general use, but "Never use short fuse on frost bomb" is just incorrect because you're ignoring an entire use case for the skill. The rest of the guide on how to maximize the exposure effect is solid, but this PSA isn't really very effective without addressing the infusion generation and why the builds that are properly running short fuse are doing it.

TawnosWins: If you want more exposure pulses, go for Long Fuse. The longer the detonation time, the more pulses you'll get. Skill effect duration doesn't affect detonation speed.

niddoghr: Very different requirements, but i love to use a banner with refraction III. The base exposure is 80 with enough armour, but it can't be supported with potent exposure so you miss out on 20% increased effect
