Aleadis: I like that jagex involves us with polls for so much stuff... But personally I think the surprise of a cool new item is nice. And I find them to be rather well designed and fit well into the game, though I agree they are a bit too easy to get. But as you've said, they hardly affect the end-game at all. Powered staves with thralls are still better on everything that doesn't have weakness. And we needed something to make these weaknesses relevant.
