Cursedone12: finally my opinion dropped
tustinbear5831: with the baba changes i can finally stop dying while im trying to goon mid kill
zero1343: Fixing the pain points is the biggest buff any piece of content can get.
Challenging content is good, frustrating content is just frustrating.
Draenal: I think a change of this scale makes for a good time to do an updated "baby's first ToA" video (or first 150, something like that). It can be hard for players who have never done content to know how much of a guide is still relevant after that content has had significant changes.
Mastercaped: I was so caught off guard by all the hate I was hearing, like did you read the changes? Literally W's being spit in our faces.
shaquillehernandez828: Finally I can act like I know it all to my clan
models9016: I wonder if they might be able to add an invocation to turn Akkha cum phase back to it's live version. Getting good enough at cum phase to do it smoothly and hitless, that high level movement where it looks like you're sliding all over the place, was something I was looking forward to trying to perfect. Trying to get it in this late probably isn't possible, but it'd be cool if there was a way to still experience it as it was.
daz-guitarmetalvideos7843: thumbs up for Gerudo Valley theme
runakovacs4759: Baba change sounds sweet for duoing with a less experienced friend. Like, sure you can red-X baba but doing it with a friend I feel the difficulty spikes significantly which I feel shouldn't be the case as it discouraging grabbing my nooby friend to do stuff together with. I like.
ramp622: I'm glad they're fixing this stuff now, but damn I wish jagex just looked at the opinions of the things that people think suck like 1-3 months after release and tried to address them a little faster. I think pretty much from day 1 people were complaining about the akkha cum phase. And the fang and lightbearer rarity should have just been changed like after the first month. Everyoneee said they were far too strong to be so common, and so cheap. It almost seems like another blowpipe situation where like im glad ur fixing it now, but it shoulda been fixed years ago. Other then the speed at which they realize this stuff, it appears to be a great update.
CybergoonTV: "Yes Gnomonkey" we all say in unison
euro-twink: For the past 2 weeks I’ve had on my to do list to send some high-level ToAs before the rate nerf drops, and I keep putting it off because the thought of it makes me want to stick pins in my eyes.
I’m really looking forward to these changes. Even though rates for a 400 are falling by ~20%, the fact that they’re addressing so many fundamental issues means I’ll be inclined to do at least 20% more ToA than I am now, and not spending the whole time feeling bitter because I couldn’t find a ToB team.
itsOZone: making the raid actually fun to grind would be worth a nerf tbh, but it just seems like itll overall be better.
im just sad toa is getting reduced fang/lb in experts b4 cox in cm is getting reduced scrolls.
lakechargoggagoggmanchaugg2666: The actual content changes are great. My only issue is they did nothing to change two elephants in the room (absurd HP/defense of the bosses at high invos and oneshot mechanics in every room).
The problem with the new rates is that pushing past 400 without a shadow is absolutely miserable, and even post-update you're going to end up with solos that last over 40 minutes compared to the sub 20 minutes of the other two raids. Do I think the QoL updates make up for the extra 50 hours of time to get a shadow? Probably, but it does sour an otherwise fantastic update.
christianspanggaard: Your excitement is making me feel more capable of taking on TOA. I've been put off from raids till now but I feel empowered. I am looking forward to the updated TOA entry guide.
ImCaek: It's wild how people see an update and just straight up don't read it, these changes are hugely positive for everyone. at higher invos you're not getting chain fed rings and fangs. at lower invos the rate is near identical. Bosses overall being made less reliant on using 0 damage mechanics but them being left in for people who want to use them. People saw "drop rates lowered" and stopped reading there not realising they may get less purples per hour but those purples will be of significantly higher quality.
Nijaparyman: I know you lean more toward high level guides, but i would love a guide on 150 invocation. i've finally gotten to endgame on my ironman and raids have been rather intimidating.
mutantslug: You should definitely eventually explain 3t butterfly with atlatl. That would be poggers for my iron
pepponi: Thank you!
As an iron hunting the shadow I would appreciate the following:
- Dehydration; especially wardens p1 (obelisk - use of special attacks & healing, liquid adrenaline), warden p4
- bowfa butterfly
- no dmg baba without red x
Looking forward to more guides, like nightmare/phosanis
connorchapman2725: unreal changes for me as a iron. no fang or yellow crystal currently slugging out inconsistent 300s. not using butterfly or red x. bring on the update!
shadowfire911: The thing with zebak waves is that what kills you most of the time is the ridiculous acid pool damage ticks that stack you out, I think the simpler solution is to just reduce the acid damage
saxassoon: So to summarize:
TOA becoming more consistent across the board, pushing people (im people) to learn and making those who know TOA have faster clears.
TOA is also going to drop less purples for higher raid levels, but in exchange when you do hit your purples (which depending on how "fast" these changes make TOA may be not to far behind the current purple/hr) you'll be splitting Masoris for profit instead of liquidiating Tab 4 for more raiding supplies because you got a 4th lightbearer this weekend.
I dont see how this is anything but a win. Purple nerfs suck on paper, but bumping price of every purple through scarcity should level the gp/hr out once the changes hit
solleks4920: It's hard to say what people want to see as guide but your old budget guide for 300-500 invo raids are incredible helpful and they were a good portion of my progression in ToA. And i understand they're new, not even an year ago, so they still hold valid information that could be used even after this update, but i believe they are good format to teach new players.
I think also talking about invos might be a good idea as well, maybe we can reach 300 invo without Hardcore Run, which was something that i wish i had when i was learning high invos with Insanity on. I can't even remember how many times i died there and had to do the entire raid again to just die a second time and get frustrated lmao.
And i don't know if you planning to keep doing red-x/butterfly but i also think it's nice to show new players that they don't really need it, especially with those changes, to get an raid clear.
Not saying to encourage to people stay bad at the game, in fact one thing that i like from you is how you always trying to make people better, but i also know how stressful it was for me when i was learning ToA and i wish i learned slowly instead of bashing my head on the wall until i got decent at it.
Byakuyabou2: Hope you going ToA with the HC after the changes :D
seeonebeone1757: Haven't watched the video yet, but I had no idea people thought the TOA changes were going to be bad (via the droprate changes I guess???). The changes across the board seemed like a way to actually make me want to do the raid again just because it wont take nearly as long and not be nearly as aids. I had a friend of mine even suggest that they'd take even worse
TheB00mscape: Gnomonkey give me the ultimate chiller guide. Somewhere between 400-500 that doesn't bother with anything fancy just to do laid back raids
