Shopping Cartmainmorty: Yea I was actually thinking the same thing
Aeryen_: Video uploaded 2 minutes ago and I couldn’t agree more with what you said! Thanks as always for my morning opinions!
Vyrement: Thank you Gnomonkey for our new opinion
diggy2024: the ghommal's penny rant was absolute gold. perfectly put
dm9910: I think you have the CG situation completely the wrong way around. I got my bowfa at around 330kc, but I was missing 2 armour seeds and had to stay until about 400 to get them and you know what, those were the most motivated 70kc I ever did at the boss. As soon as I got the enh seed it was a weight lifted and I completely stopped caring that I was dry on the armour seeds.
The enh seed is the problem because the variance is insane. 98% of players will have 6 armour seeds by 600kc, only 1.5x the bowfa droprate. That's not a big deal and still completely worth the time for such powerful gear. To get a 98% chance of bowfa you need to do about 1600kc. It's people going 1000 kc for enh that quit the game, not the people who got spooned a 10kc enh and have to stay for armour seeds. So you're offering dry protection to help the spooned players and not for the dry players. That makes no sense.
WaizOldMan: "Bowfa is an endgame grind that people are doing in the midgame" is so incredibly based. Husky always cuts right to the underlying point so well.
chuggywoo: As someone who is 1200 dry on enh at cg that’s a bad take. afaik people aren’t burning out after spooning enh. They’re burning out after getting 17 armor seeds and no enh. Getting enh early is just motivation to finish armors which you really can’t go that dry on
AsixSuffuri: Would agree with the Imbued Heart to Slayer Bosses but with the Caveat to have it scale to the bosses' general difficulty level, lest it just become "afk Kraken until it drops."
ArneyO7: I cant even bring my sea turtle to the seaweed. Ya know, in the SEA
LeTwoCan: Thank you for the amazing video, can't wait for the yearly penny rant next summer!
Mounty1995: Hey Gnome I love the vid. The rapier stats I suggested were 40 Stab accuracy 54 Melee Strength in that reddit post.
VegaMK2: I think a lot of people like to say "you chose to restrict yourselves" to ironmen in bad faith but I entirely agree with your point. It drives me up the wall when people recommend new players play ironman and I'm happy to see you voice it. I think my favorite idea on here is the rapier one, having to buy a fucking ham joint back in the day always felt kind of weird and it's a perfect space for the rapier to fill imo.
On an unrelated note, It's a bit unfortunate that the "thanks for my opinion" jokes have flooded all of your videos like this rather than people actually discussing the video in the top comments, they used to be a bit more interesting to read through.
faust3209: WARNING: ZCB spec at 24:40
KushKoi: The only QOL I want is on mobile and it’s menu entry swapper being “fixed” like it’s usable but compared to runelite it’s night and day (also do we suggest more summer sweep up stuff for mobile? I just didn’t suggest anything because I imagine its too much work that it needs a dedicated update)
cool_scatter: I've only played iron since before ironman was an official gamemode and I went dry for bowfa. I think you missed the mark on one thing: the armor seeds are not why irons feel like CG is a prison. The armor seeds are the easy part. Yes it sucks to get spooned an enh and still have potentially 300 kc ahead of you, but the variance is so low on that that it's way better than the alternative. Irons understand that it's almost impossible to go super dry on armor seeds, anyone complaining about armor seed drops after getting spooned enh gets laughed out of the room, but 1 in 10 people will go more than 2x dry on enh. It's 1/400 and kills are mentally draining and take 12 minutes. Going dry on enh is THE reason irons complain about CG so much. I don't really think CG needs a droprate buff, but if it does, buffing armor seeds does to help.
GamecubeJona: I heard my name in there, appreciate the shoutout my man!
AstrixFTW: Wow it’s crazy I just came up with an hour and 5 minutes of my opinions all on my own
KushiKush: 20:45 - lockpick from additional sources is good, I would recommend Shades of Morton, that way the area has more content synergy.
wolfVFV: 11:40 same is true for underwater, you can get the Farming pet at seaweed and its out and walks with you but you cant bring it back underwater
PlaneReality: Great vid and ty. I just had a thought (I know we arent supposed to have those) regarding the pets issue. It would be much simpler if we can just equip the pet... instead of fumbling with inventory. This mechanic would lean exactly into your points! You can still recal or drop them but ya carry it in an equipment slot. Its simple. ML and Blessings!
emichael4846: I'm glad you talked about slayer. I'm all for the preferred list and slayer helm cosmetic talking points. I would actually love to see slayer reworked in a way that makes slayer exp just slightly more passive/available (SLIGHTLY). For example, having several "slayer towers" throughout Runescape that have that region's taskable monsters inside just like morytania does, and an NPC standing outside that you simply talk to and they ask you what you want to slay inside the tower and if you want exp or coins for reward, just make the exp 20-50% of what you'd get on a slayer task from a master (yes I know rs3 currently has something similar). I also think players should get a small amount of slayer exp from killing ANY taskable slayer creature off task at a 5-10% slayer exp per kill. These changes would still make slayer master tasks meta, but help reduce the burden of such an unbelievably slow skill grind. It never made sense why I get slayer exp killing a monster just because someone told me to go do it....I'm still slaying the creature even if its off task...The skill is Slayer, not Bounty Hunter.
darton_: Part of the problem with CG is there is no other option for endgame range. ACB is only even close when rubies are an option and tbow is even less realistic. There are endgame staves and melee weapons from multiple sources so you arent trapped in one encounter. I think the actual solution is to add another range weapon between bowfa and acb.
Michael-m5q5j: the lucky penny bloodfury crashout had me dying :D
rocksalty7372: Fun fact, the kraken pet will follow you into the seaweed area because it can breathe underwater
thegonz701: Doing my blorva grind reminds me how annoying it is to reorganize my invent after every death.
karvis386: 6:48
As someone who play RS3 mostly and dabble in OSRS recently, seeing OSRS's slayer having no prefer task list was really surprising.
Both side have aspects that the other could implement into their systems. RS3 barely has any use for points outside of setting up block/prefer task and a few unlocks, while OSRS has so many unlocks and no way to get their favourite task easier.
RS3 could benefit from slayer master specific block lists, and task storage, and OSRS could benefit from prefer task list.
thym1ng: Finally know what I want for summer
