Vengix93: So glad they actually listened to us. I think for Port Tasks the reward system also needs some love. Maybe give a reward crate at the end of a delivery that we can open for Boat upgrades; Nails, Planks, Logs, etc.. And maybe the high level Port Task Rewards can have a low chance to hit things like Dragon Nails and Sheets. Just a spitball idea but something other than Paint and coins lol.

dutchblazewell6289: OK. Now do cannon plz. The option to have 2 Cannon barrels on one side or "magic" cannons with better view range or accumulator properties.

The damage output isn't worth the cost of balls plus repair kit costs.

Possibly the most anti climactic thing in a boat when you hit something like a seagull with cannonball and hit a max of 12

CoolJ4zz: My idea for the combat I think was pretty interesting, not sure if many people have also thought about it-

Less "On boat shoot with cannons" and more of a "raiding other boats" thing.

I think you can keep the current mobs, with the hella simple combat except MAJORLY reduce their hp and defence bc that shit is ass

Add pirates around the ocean that you use your cannons to shoot into their hull to slow them down, catch up to them and board them.

Add harpoons to latch onto their ships to slow them down to speed you up,

Add fucking fire catapults to launch at them to deal big DoT to their hulls,

Make every pirate-ship a mini-multi-combat encounter like the Organised Crime intel gathering. 3-4 pirates on a boat with a captain that can drop cool stuff.

Add chests on their boats which you can steal from for thieving, make it so it's technically possible to stealth onto boats, steal cargo, take it back to your boat. Hell make it so your thieving level dictates how much noise is made when lock picking.

Similar to Sea Of Thieves, if you destroy their hull make the loot drop in the ocean with a bit of it being lost. Skipping the PvM encounter to gain lesser rewards but also gives you the opportunity to salvage their ship.

Imagine a group-port task where you and a homie have to venture out deep into the ocean to find a massive multi-layered mega pirate ship collect the bounty on the captains head.

I feel like if implemented even slightly correctly that could be some of, if not, THE most fun PvM content in the entire game.

dashdancedan: An interesting change to port task could be a streak bonus. The current strat is just to teleport around and find where you can consolidate shipments and drop them all of at the same port. A more interesting approach would be to sail from port to port, picking up shipments and taking them to the next port without teleporting. Let's say you do 10 in a row without teleporting and you get a huge xp drop at the end. This would be much more satisfying.

It sucks to trim sails on mobile, im always miss clicking and steering off

TwoHams: Port tasks need some kind of reward. Trials give boat upgrades and flags. A ticket reward shop or amazon delivery skin for your boat

bloghostalexander: one way i think that would be awesome to improve port tasks would be making it into a hybrid training style where you can get a bonus bit of exp in other skills by making cargo crates ourselves of different delivery's like metal bar/armor shipments that would give some smithing ,ammo and bow shipments for fletching, farming shipments that are filled with allotment items, jewelry shipments filled with different jewelry for crafting exp that way its an item sink for items that are flooding the market and also a way to add exp to the port tasks without just adding more sailing exp.
