TogShark: I think partly what differentiates OSRS and World of Warcraft is that there's never a reset.

In WoW, as soon as a new expansion comes around, all of your progress is gone and you're basically starting out fresh again. The early game content isn't fun or engaging, so all the playability exists in the late game. You complete content and then wait for the next thing. And the content from the previous expansion becomes redundant.

In OSRS, there's no reset. Things get added, sure, but ultimately your progress is locked down. The time investment doesn't feel like a total waste because nothing is going to reduce the power you have or the progress you've made. And there's no "previous expansion" - everything from the beginning of the game still has a function. You are still open to engage with it, and it will contribute to progression in a meaningful way.

blakeloh: Lol trying to figure out houses is painful but once you do they are the most important tool for anyone in the game, especially for a ironman. Get a mounted glory, best pool you can in your garden, portal rooms with key teleports for farm runs, slayer, barrows, build a occult alter for fast spell book swaps, jewelry box for all you teleports from jewelry, then the fairy ring for maximum conveniece.

One note on the fairy ring, crystal saw wont work its boost on plants, instead go get yourself some orange spicy stew and get that 5 boost to go ahead and build that.

Keeping all these close to your house teleport portal makes things very quick and convienent, i throw other rooms outside of these rooms because i dont want to run farther than i have to.
