Hawkback1329: Charting is one of the most enjoyable things I’ve ever done in OSRS. All the random stuff, even the ones that kill you or TP you away, chefs kiss, so funny. But can we please discuss the marlin time for Gwenith Glide? Why I have to be the Odablock or Port Khazard of boat pathing to get the time? Couldn’t we add 3 seconds? Just 3 is all I’m asking, allow for a single misclick to still make time on an otherwise perfect run. 6 minutes of perfect clicking is a lot to ask for the average person I’m just saying. That said even though it was the most headdesk activity I’ve done yet in OSRS, I still kept going back, so they did something right. RSN Hawkback1329

guchy2ndfloor: What I enjoyed most about sailing is that it has opened the doors to so much future content. I'm really excited to see new quests, islands filled out, and to explore more of the ocean through charting (which I assume will eventually update over time, after Varlamore Achievement Diary, kek).

My negative is that the skill as a whole isn't there, as you pointed out in the video.

Looking forward to seeing how they develop combat, trawling and port tasks in the new year.

Furry_Wall: As a person who has played since 03 and has seen a dozen skills get released, Sailing was the 2nd worst skill I have ever seen on launch. Hunter was the only one worse.

leonmonica: Anyone who thinks salvaging xp rates are too high but loves trials are delusional. Trials are hands down one of the worse method ever created. Boat moving mechanics are already finicky (yes it can get better and it’s how a real boat moves), but seriously elvish course and the jubbly one are laggy af. The elvish one there is literally a portal where you borderline lose control of your ship because the wall is immediately hit once you go through the portal.

Not to mention the drop rates on everything sailing based is so bad you can get bowfa before you get a single ship upgrade with how many kills it takes for any of the drops. It’s insane and needs to be looked at

rash0wwwww: I had my doubts to be honest, but I'm seriously impressed how hooked I got into Sailing. I like the random occurrences, I appreciate the variety and it feels fresh — just feels they messed up with bounty tasks and combat in general. I don't see why magic/ranged has reduced damage. Barracuda trials are awesome and a lot of fun to learn and get the hang of.

Overall 8.5/10 for me, needs to add more incentive to bounties — make it more accesible honestly. But that's just my two cents!

Nice mix of activities to do for levelling. Can do the barracuda trials for much more active method or pretty afk salvaging. Plus other tasks in between for small amounts.

I'll take barracuda trials over rooftop agility any day.

Not perfect and I think it would have been nice to slightly up the boats speeds when travelling long distances. Kind of like a ramp up speed while staying straight or light turns, or buffing the wind boosts until you make a turn even. This would also buff port tasks exp too.

JoeShmoe102: Aside from hoping/waiting for ship combat to be improved, my biggest complaint is just how much the cost of ship upgrades SKYROCKETS once you get to rosewood boat parts. Hopefully dragon nails and sheets will come down to a reasonable price (or they increase their drop rates), especially for maxing your barracuda trials boat and building a solid combat boat

Randalicious: Game player count peaked with less players online than grid master just a month before Sailing released. That is the only metric Jagex will use for determining if it was or not.

InTernal_Fox: I voted against sailing in favor of taming, but I’m not disappointed at all with what they gave us. I’m honestly having so much fun with Sailing.

I'd love for them to create some sort of Gauntlet / Raid content with the Barracuda Trials with drop tables for cool new sailing gear.

They can be frustrating and tricky to get the perfect run but I absolutely loved them. Boat racing is the best part of sailing.
