tustinbear5831: 2277 total level requirement and buff the table to include 3rd age
topcutcatering: Jagex complain highest influx of blood runes into the game is soul wars says "we're going to fix this" then adds supply crates to castle wars which give blood runes
DoctorZtormtrooper: the simple solution is to tier/scale rewards. If a fresh level 3 plays, they get fresh level 3 loot. You get low level ammo, runes etc. If you have a decent to high total level you can get 50-70k per crate.
thisispatrick1829: remeber that the nightmare zone reward shop was considered too strong for ironmen now they can get all of this stuff straight off tutorial island-
EVScape: Jagex learn from their previous mistakes and don't make them again challenge (Impossible)
MrLutenitsa: 100% agreed, if a minigame isnt good ..pumping it with GP incentive is not the solve. Also ye never saw that poll
randomunlistedvids: Can you stop ruining my money makers? I have 60 kids, 7 wives, 3 husbands and 40 side pieces to feed.
jamiekb9v: Castle wars is the OG minigame. In the osrs era of minigames, this should really be at the top. I would love it if they revamped it a bit to require proper participation, but you are rewarded with not just blighted supplies clogging, but also decent agility experience. whilst retaining the core gameplay, this would be great. People hate agility and rooftops, but they would do castle wars if you could do it instead. I really think it would be sad if random wintertodt and fletching minigames were active when castle wars is so iconic.
edit: I also think this shows how much of an issue that everything passes these days (except pvp). This is exactly what we voted for
TediousRS: Thank you gnome of the monkey for your insights on the matter
ojc2802: Thank you for covering botted content, very overlooked.
Harrison_Rs: This was so obvious that bots were going to abuse this. You can afk in the corner, do nothing and be rewarded 2 tickets per draw. I do sometimes think the Jmods are working with botters (again - this wouldn’t be the first time) as the zulrah bot farm was a ex jmod. Something seriously needs to be done about this.
Nilbog1010: To be fair to those that did vote yes, the blog stated "Make no mistake, this loot table will be much less powerful than the one at Soul Wars, focusing on Runes, ammo, and consumables (including Blighted supplies) rather than skilling supplies or alchables." I guess much less valuable is ~10k less per roll. I guess they thought the 20 minute timer per game would balance it out but they definitely just lied about the loot table value.
glumreaper8885: We're coming full circle to 2012 bot levels. I used to run a Soul Wars bot farm with like 40 accounts each running for 7 days straight (or longer with no game updates). Banrate was like 5% or less. Jagex didn't seem to care because they were getting paid membership.
wzrddddd: There's a combined total of 3k people on castle wars worlds atm, if we assume 1.5k of them are afking the minigame that's an insane amount of runes generated per day for doing nothing
4,320,000 blood runes (3.73% of daily volume)
5,868,000 death runes (7.57% of daily volume)
9,324,000 nature runes (17.47% of daily volume)
5,688,000 soul runes (11.21% of daily volume)
Nevermind how easy it is to scale this method. Anyone with a good pc can make 1b per 14 days with 20 accounts by sitting in here 16h a day. At 15.5m per bond it's 218,803/h profit and you even have 5 mins to click the portal on your 20 accounts when the game ends, so much leeway
frankguy6843: Been too lazy to go to LMS for rune arrows, guess I'll just AFK at Castle Wars. Balanced.
CetomimusGillii: IM: "IM have to be self sufficient. Can't go to the GE for everything. Just like the good ol days..." Also IM: "NOOO! IM NEED FREE BLOODS AND RUNE ARROWS! DON'T TAKE AWAY MY CRATES!"
dougie-fresh54: those rewards are bonkers, remove the crates or have them scale with your levels like wintertodt crates at the least
TheL0rd0fSpace: I have no idea who thought that Castle Wars needed a gp incentive, but Jagex needs to stop trying to "encourage" the player base to play these old minigames with gp.
If players want to play Castle Wars, they will. Stop trying to bribe players to join when only bots actually will.
Schwingz: This is totally broken and should not have been released without some restrictions. That being said I'm currently afking cw on 2 new irons fresh off tuts island :)
freezxng_moon: i cant comprehend how shit like this comes into the game. also might be an unpopular opinion, but some dead content can just be left to die.. or literally deleted and no one will care. There is no need to try and touch up litererally everything just because you have to release an update a week (which is also completely stupid if you ask me)
Ben79k: They have to keep the majority of players happy! (The majority of players are bots) hope this helps
maniacmatt7340: I like the idea of making old minigames better rewards. But this is a real issue. Itd be cool if they could kick afk people. I'm sure it's complicated.
BobBob-k9f: I agree the loot should be at least lowered if not removed from all 3 minigames, especially for irons. Always left a bad taste in my mouth watching content creators like faux and the farmers make new accounts and go to lms/soul wars to boost free loot. Even more obnoxious in lms when stream viewers gift kills and you can insta sell the rune arrows close to alch value abusing shops with a 2nd account.
MrYellowBlob12: I have an old friend who recently started playing the game after not playing for 20 years, he opted to play a HCIM. One of the things I've observed with him playing is how time consuming it is to generate wealth to buy things like runes and ammunition. Of course there are the methods that exist to quickly generate money but as a new player who may not want to scour the internet for guides I can see how frustrating early game can be. Now I'm on the side where I don't agree with adding "big money bag rewards" to mini-games like soul wars & castlewars. Clearly it's being abused in all kinds of ways that in most ways, will negatively impact the game....but it got me thinking, what if Jagex were to keep these rewards crates, but modify the rewards to combat level. A simple example I can use to explain this would be with arrows: level 3-50 combat yields bronze/iron/steel, level 51-90 yields mithril & addy and level 91-126 would yield rune. This way people who play the games will actually get worth while rewards that they can USE at their combat instead of just raw gold. This would also slowdown/deter bots because they would have to level their accounts even more just to reap the benefits of the top tier rewards.
erinbyrnes5921: I voted yes for crates without thinking. From now on, I'm voting no if I not sure and no one is discussing it.
Celastrous: I had a ton of fun going there with a few friends last night,; sad to know that it's going to be a botted ghost town soon enough
RanarrDealer: Barbarian Assault has the best minigame reward system
