SinistralWolf: I've been playing FFXIV for about ten years now. It can get as grindy or as cosy as you want it to be. There's even housing, where you can decorate with the furniture you can make. It's amazing after seeing your Stardew shorts, and then seeing you in Eorzea!

With the most recent update (7.4) glamour restrictions are removed. You can now make your carpenter gear look like your bard gear if you wanted to

claire7657: Oh I hope you continue! At lvl 30 you become a bard. Also, to the left of where you got the gold saucer quest in Ul’dah, there’s a vendor that sells a suit.

My personal favorite though is the crafting. Crafting skills let you create glams. Leatherworking is footwear and Tailoring is clothes, and Goldsmithing is jewelry

timeshigan: omg girl, i both love this and fear for your free time. i've never been addicted to any mmos in my life despite trying out some before like maplestory, but ffxiv has me in its grip for YEARS. you can really make the game anything you want, whether you wanna focus on story, fashion, house decoration, making adventure plates/portraits, one job or all of them, battle content, photography, fishing in pretty areas, etc etc or all of it. i hope you have a lot of fun and play at your own pace!!

tr_ld: I hope you keep this game up. The story through Endwalker is fantastic. Realm Reborn starts kinda rough, but that seems to be mostly an interpretation seen in retrospective. If you don't love Heavensward, Shadowbringers and Endwalker, you are an alien.
