noii1524: That's why I always recommend to new players to level up at least one crafter/gatherer alongside their main calss. MSQ starting to feel like a chore? No problem, just switch to your fisher and go for some chill ocean fishing!
theShibaknight: 100% and everything is build up for the final Moment!
tylerrobertson4361: This game is definitely more so of an RPGMMO, I love the story. One of my favorite stories out there, but yes it is the long burn for sure
DDog09: Totally agree, its a masterpiece of a game. Up til dawntrail lol
penguinninja4417: YES!!!
davidjj33: To be far, AAR is LOOOONG but its worth it. Also, the later expansions and story do have pacing but it seems more thought out and streamlined.
alstermaniac: I agree with this so much, unfortunately so many people who start the game, have SO much to catch up on that it feels overwhelming and they just want to get to where there friends are at. Its a shame because i love the game so much but my irl friends never stick with it long but if they had started when i did, i know they would have loved it. My only hope is when FF works on their next mmo (maybe 7-10 yrs down the line) and make sure my friends get on the bandwagon right at the start
Drea_The_Noodle: IMO slowing down is good, bc otherwise you'll just get too overstimulated and there's no fun in that. Extra reason why I enjoy crafting/gathering as a whole. It's slow paced, it's relaxing, it gives you time to think.
We NEED those moments of peace to be fully engaged when a new stimulating piece comes in
toscatattertail9813: FFXIV is a journey, sometimes it's a slog and sometimes the story goes swiftly you have to go through it again. Take advantage of the Trust parties, there is a lot you miss when you have a tank that pulls from "wall to wall".
elgatochurro: the pacing gets really slow and its the worst parts... it needs something to speed those up.
youll find more of a slow speed going after ARR and its just "i put my whole weekend into trying to get to the next bit and its awful rn and im still at this boring pace."
