Mother_boards: As someone else said, I think that because the green hair is such a prominent feature of Solo's design that we see all the time, green is just the color associated with him, so when picking a color to use for his eyes people just default to green. You can even see that the shade of green that people have used is similar to the hair.

violetsongbird: Genuinely I think people probably interpreted his eyes as green from most viewing him pretty small. If he’s smaller in screen the exact color of his eyes doesn’t read super clear and between the green hair and green facial hair, his vibe is just very green. His eyes also possibly read as more green depending on the screen.

Foxpawed: To be fair it's a very yellowy brown, so they blend into the green of the hair and whatnot quite easily. If you just subtract a little red they match.
