The DUMBEST Takes in the FFXIV Dawntrail Community And Why Theyre Wrong THE RESPONSE

michaels2077: “Dps is the easiest role” -someone who doesn’t know their rotation and just presses what ever

NavaSDMB: "You know, add-ons are against the TOS" "Why you hate add-ons??!!!!!!?????"

Some people can't read. Some people have hearing issues. And some people have an issue between their body's external interfaces and their brains.

SageRasalas: Heavy agree on the Add-ons thing. For those who need them for accessibility or just glam/aesthetics, I don't care about their use. Anything that doesn't affect how well you're able to perform in the game is whatever. But when you treat other players like crap, gatekeep content, or go into social media talking about how even some of the most difficult content in the game is "too easy and the game needs way more challenge" when you need 3PT to do it yourself (and SqEnix makes sure this stuff is able to be cleared without

Alluminn: "DPS is easy in casual content!" yeah why y'all care what the hardest role is in content you can do half asleep?

Jeezes718: You didn't need to call Greg out like that! He's trying to get help!

supekele: I don't think you needed to apologise. Your first video is clear enough. Someone else's illiteracy is their problem.

hundset: I'm not what!?

siinuxxblume5123: Played drk, whm and several dps jobs on a 99 parse level, no plugins. Playing dps is way harder for most serious fights.

Healers get preferential treatment in any mechanic, where its possible without a dps loss. Healers can neutralize their shortcomings in efficient cooldown use, by just using gcd heals and gear increases for savage make healing a cakewalk later compared to week 1.

Tanks are just melee dps with easy rotations. Most fights are the same for melee 2 and the offtank except you have to press some mitigations once during downtime while pressing fell cleave 50 times whenever its on cd.

Dps are slightly different in that their rotations are fight specific, more complex and usually if someone has to do the shit job it falls on them. Misaligned a party buff on the first 2 min ? (dont care astro and sch dont count) well that is minus 1 million damage over the entire fight. Mechanics are different between roles and there is a huge difference between doing them on mch or blm for example, which tanks and healers dont really have.

Overall, if you wanna play dps well, it is way harder than any of the support jobs, at least in my opinion.

QueensWrath-yd9th: Ah yes, the classic 'I hear what I hear and not what was being said'-issue. None of these takes were hot or illogical. Smoothbrain brigade throwing shade at them is just a testament to the listening comprehension issues some folks have.

Funny vids, stay safe~

phoenixflamegames1: No offense but…who the heck cares about what the easiest role is? Every role has easy things and hard things. That’s all you need to know. People who say this just usually need SOMETHING to blame that isn’t themselves.

p2jnyoom: I've recently started to prog UCOB, and, ignoring the fact that I don't even know what all the raiding add-ons are, the only one I use is to make double weaves more consistant in higher level content.

I'm just some weenie RDM who only started using materia like a year ago and doesn't use potions, so the only double weave I do is Corps-a-corps into Engagement between Redoublement and Verflare/Verholy, using both my buffs for the opener, or throwing down Lucid when I need it

Like bruh, I know I'm bad; I'm out here trying to improve, and the one thing I use is for consistency. I'm not ashamed to admit that.

But I'd be ashamed to admit the reliance on tools some of these people have, and even moreso for being how rude they are about their skill issues.

But ya, good vid mate

SuperRoboPopoto: I still enjoy positionals. Tell Zeno. We still have beef to settle. He was my best friend and rival.

0siris-Abraxas: DPS is everyones job so saying its easiest means all your parses are purple no matter what job you play right? ;D

nuclearsynapse5319: I'll be so real, as a black mage raiding in savage and ultimate, I still think dps is (generally) easier than healing. My healers and tanks are making up whole spreadsheets to deal with incoming damage on specific timelines and I'm just like: Fire 4. Addle when big magic damage incoming. Do mechanics (for which I get given the easiest positions bc people still don't want me to move despite casters getting more and more mobile). Duty complete.

I sure do lose out on some optimization in some fights because SE loves to make me move out of my leylines during 2min windows but that performance more than gets the job done.

Also, regarding the hidden logs, it should never be a red flag. I take it as a yellow flag instead, especially in ultimate prog. It just means I'm probably going to end up extending less grace for egregious mistakes before a listed prog point. This unfortunately has burned me before, as some people unfortunately do hide their logs specifically to prog-lie.

mrgrumpybeard: As someone who has come to ff14 from WoW I completely understand the hiding logs. I have not even raided yet because I am working on getting absolutely everything to max before I start, but when I do, I will hide mine as well because I know exactly how toxic a community can be about those. I was not the best but had solid blue parses and sometimes purple but when I healed some groups would not take me because my healing parses were not good enough. Like excuse me?! My raid did not die and the people who have those insane parses are because they played down a healer or two. Logs are just a tool for you to get better and should not be the biggest thing someone looks at to decide if you should invite someone to a group or not. Any way longish rant aside I just found your channel randomly and immediately subscribed. Great work on the video and I am going to watch some more while ocean fishing.

epyon02alpha42: LOL, the fact that you even needed to make this response video really just says there are a lot of people with a guilty conscience and decided to self report with aggression. Obviously, with any 'blanket' points there will be nuance where it doesn't fully apply. The irony being that those who want to cry out and call you a hater for not recognizing said nuance are probably just as likely to disregard that same nuance when the criticism is nowhere near them.

Stay based and keep up the comedy

TheFrogXIV: Brah, all of the takes were W but there were still people who didn't understood. I guess mandatory IQ examination before giving internet access wasn't a bad idea after all...

pwn3ronetwothree: I appreciate your devotion to the bit of pissing off everyone lmao

Decus86: "Dps is the easiest role" is said by support players that have never either tried other roles in any remotely serious content, or never goofed around for fun. It's a false sense of being irreplaceable. Meanwhile the community is memeing on even ultimates getting cleared without healers and most recently m6s without tanks...

In casual content especially dungeons are absolutely clearable without tanks and healers. Without healers it's even faster in fact. Healer strike and so forth.

Any casual content is clearable with any scuffed setup or duty finder randoms that don't press their buttons/don't put their stance on/don't heal. It's more effort, but don't ever think you're irreplaceable. You don't even need some cracked players to be able to do without any of the roles. Just decent players, it happens all the time just by itself.

TyrantPope: My logs aren't hidden; they simply don't exist. Console players unite!

xsteelersx6: I’ve had my logs held against me in discussion/ debate on the balance discord. This actually helps me imo.

I can identify if the person im talking to actually wants to discuss something or if they’re trying to get personal and have lost the point of our back and forth. Discussion over with that guy!

Also…Some of the best players I know hide their logs. I know because Ive raided with them so I see their numbers ‘behind the scenes.’ They’re clearing raid tiers in the first week of it launching, too.

That said if I’m in pf, logs/ tomestone are some of the only ways to understand anything at all about a stranger coming into your group. So while I respect and agree that it’s irrelevant how you parse in a fight, as far as your validity to participate, you have gone out of your way to shield the only glimpse I can have about you, so my eyebrow will always go up. I won’t choose to exclude you, but it definitely draws my attention.

TheRatatoasky: I parsed in parties during asphodelos (99's), I know how much anything higher than 75 means absolutely nothing. Crit, kill time, and sandbags to reach said kill time are the only ways to even reach good parses, as long as you are pushing your buttons you win the video game. As someone who is going to hide their logs when they get home, since the people behind the website love to cherry pick what fights utilize adds and don't have a clear idea on what they want when it comes to how they measure each fight. I've done all the content I've wanted at the level I feel happy about, and that's all this game should ever be about

pidge8964: this is my first video of yours and all I gotta say is I agree with all of your takes here, nothing screams outrageous to me. I think people are quite sensitive and lack critical thinking skills when someone dares to critique their opinion. Appreciate the humor!

A.T.O6969: I once had a GNB tell me that he does the same damage as any dps while also tanking (back when GNB was the highest dps tank). Later on I discovered he has never actually PLAYED a dps job.

BeeBeBees: OMG GUYS ITS ME, Anyway you're welcome for the content LMAO.

Good video, i will see you in the next washroom visit
